Not a good hotel
Publié le 22 avr. 2019 sur HotelsThe hotel is in urgent need of refurbishment. The bathrooms need updating, there is no fridge in the cupboard designed for one, the safes in the rooms do not work.
The pool is static sea water which was emptied and refilled once in four days meaning that after the first day the pool was unusable as the locals who take day passes for the pool area go in fully clothed and sometimes with shoes on as well.
The reception staff varied between surly and unhelpful, apart from one who managed to find us a taxi back to Havanna.
The small shop which sells drinking water closes at 4pm.
The restaurant is fine, but it is the only place to eat once the beach snack bars have closed and if there are large groups staying overnight, there is only an expensive buffet with no option to choose cheaper dishes from the menu.
The coffee at breakfast is undrinkable which is odd as the pool bar which opens later makes good coffee.
There are only 5 sunshades around the pool leaving most of the loungers unusable as there is no other shade available.
The water goes off during the afternoon meaning it is impossible to flush the toilet.
You have to go to the next hotel Rancho Luna to get any tourist information or to book a shuttle bus to other towns. We took a taxi for the four of us as a result.
The nearby beach is scruffy. No one collects litter. There are a few snack bars, but the two toilets are always blocked up, so it seems most people use the sea or the bushes....
