This property is a one of a kind.
Loads of character and unique features.
Reception was out standing, gave a full tour and explained the history of the Casa.

Quiet, lovely historic inn
Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HotelsThis is an amazing place to stay. We were not able to take advantage of the peace and quiet like we wished, due to our tight travel schedule. Definitely plan to spend time here to get the full experience.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The main concern was that there were no grab bars in shower/bath.

Thank you for your review. As the walls of the Casa del Gavilan are made of real adobe (dried mud), there is no proper way to firmly attach grab bars in the baths. We would need to tear out the adobe and rebuild the walls in wood frame to safely attach grab bars. As a historic property, this is one of the reasons we do not promote the Casa as "handicap accessible". We do provide supports that clamp onto the outside of the bathtub upon request. On your next visit please ask your innkeeper. We are happy to accommodate requests from our guests, to the extent possible, to make their stay more enjoyable.

The property is located in a quiet ranch protected by gates and fences. Upon arrival, The host gave us a property tour and showed us the hiking trails and the best places to watch sunset and sunrise. Breakfast was great. We had a wonderful stay and will stay here again when we are in the area next time.

We very much enjoyed the staff waiting for us at the door and the tour of the Casa making us feel at home. Great staff!
