Publié le 22 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayCool house. Built in 1893 blew us away. Good shape and clean. Very hot during our visit but air kept it comfortable. Pendant Lights in one bedroom were unable to figure out how to turn on. ?? Great locale close to stadiums and downtown. We throughly enjoyed the stay. New pillows on beds would be nice. Bathrooms were new and well done!!

Wouldn’t stay again
Publié le 21 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayLet me first state that this house is amazing for 20 something’s who are literally going somewhere to sleep and have a kitchen. First, the hot tub, the whole purpose of getting this house, was filthy. Did I complain to manager? No. Why? We were there for 3 nights. Second, seating in living room for a party of 5, no. We had to rotate. It was not equipped for 5 people to relax after a long day at kings island. It is a house to go to bed and check out the area for the entire day and night. So, again, great for young people to stay. Not okay for people with kids or senior adults to stay. Before the manager comes at me about the house being left messy. NO! It was left in the same condition we found it. I have the pictures to prove it. We left no dishes in sink. We put trash out in alley.(don’t get my husband started on the gate to said alley) We cleaned the kitchen counters. Tried to put the towels in the basket in the front bedroom closet. But, we couldn’t get into said closet because there was no doorknob. Again, took pics. As I said before, great for 20 something’s. Not for a family of 5 that will sit around the table and eat a meal.

Hey Adrienne, thanks for sharing this feedback with us. Please don't hesitate to reach out to hosts in the future as we would have greatly appreciated the chance to make things better. My cleaning team does a full clean of the hot tub after each guest with the proper chemicals. I went over to the home after your check out to take a look and all I could see was a little bit of sand in one corner. The water in the hot tub was in pristine condition and ready for use. Sorry about the closet door knob - it fell off the week before and I didn't get a chance to repair it till after your stay. Also, we set up the furniture in each room to fit the historic yet renovated style of this 19th century home and realize that it's best situatated for small to mid sized groups. We would love to put massive sofa's in the living room, but it would completely block the flow. We appreciate the feedback and look forward to continuing to deliver the best stay possible for all of our guests. We hope you otherwise enjoyed your time at our home and in Cincinnati. The property was decent. It was Christmas in June. It was decorate for Christmas. One of the stairs had water damage. Luckily we used the 2nd staircase. The neighborhood did not seem the safest but we had no issues. We had a possum join us around a hot tub one night. That was interesting.

Publié le 14 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayIt was a nice place. The back stairs carpet could be replaced. Christmas decorations probably need to be taking down. Front step is very wobbly. A roof over the hot tub would be nice. We enjoyed our time there.

Sorry we still had a few Christmas decorations up as we try to keep some Christmas cheer in the home through the winter. I will be sure to take things down earlier next year! Very disappointed
Publié le 25 août 2022 sur HomeAwayThe stay was ok as we only stayed for 1 night and all we did was sleep at this property. The owner accused us of stealing a decorative succulent, a bottle, a commemorative hair brush, and a bottle of febreze(almost empty) and wanted to charge me an unreasonable amount of money for these items and a shower curtain we accidentally damaged when I slipped in the tub showering and grabbed the curtain to break my fall. The curtain rings were damaged and I let the owner know before we left. We eventually settled on a reasonable amount. I would never rent this property again when I come back to Cincy to visit family. Worst VRBO experience I have ever had and I have stayed at almost a dozen properties over the past 6 years.

I appreciate your communication in letting me know about your fall in the shower. However, I don't think your summary is a fair representation of the overall stay as we simply asked questions if you knew where the missing items were from the shelf that was dislodged during your accident in the bathroom. My team reported the items on the shelf weren't there any more after your stay so I inquired about them as they were in the home before check in.
