Labour day weekend
Publié le 4 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family and my friends recently had the pleasure of spending Labor Day weekend at the Luxury Log Home near Suncadia in Cle Elum, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
The check-in process was seamless and stress-free. The property manager provided clear instructions well in advance, and we were able to access the home without any issues. The keyless entry system was convenient, especially after a long drive. It was a great start to our weekend getaway
The cleanliness of the property was impeccable. The log home felt warm and inviting, with every surface spotless, and the linens and towels were fresh.

Overall, our stay at this Luxury Log Home was fantastic. It provided a perfect blend of comfort, cleanliness, and convenience, set in a beautiful location. We highly recommend this property for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing and luxurious getaway in the Cle Elum area. We’ll definitely be back!

Cabin getaway

Misrepresentation of amenities
Publié le 21 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe rented this Vrbo for 4 nights. When I booked it, a hot tub and wifi were listed as amenities, both of which we specifically filtered for in our search. Upon arrival, it didn’t have either. It was a trip for a family if 11, which we spent months preparing for and the lack of those amenities had significantly negatively impacted our experience. When I notified the owner of the misrepresentation and requested partial reimbursement, he said that their owner dashboard doesn’t show hot tub or wifi and to take it up with Vrbo.
Otherwise, nice property. Just not what we had hoped for.

Cle Elum Family Trip

Mtn House
Publié le 29 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayI believe this is our 5th year going to the Mtn House. We Love it!! the kids sled all day along with adults into the evening. Family games and meals around the big Table. Outstanding Views on the front covered porch of the Mtns. A big roaring fire in the fireplace to cozy up to in the mornings and after sledding. Games for the kids downstairs . And the Best Part no TV or wifi to distract. Thank You Mark and Caroline and Jessica for the wonderful time!!

Winter Retreat
Publié le 16 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat property for our annual winter retreat with our children. Kitchen was stocked with amenities that allowed us to cook great meals. The sled hill with lights was great and provided hours of fun even in sub zero temperatures.
The property manager was easy to work with and really responsive.

the cabin was very clean and had an amazing fire place. I would certainly recommend this cabin for family gatherings and or retreats. We all loved the game room.

Love this cabin
Publié le 4 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayThis is our second year staying in this cabin. The owners were wonderful and very responsive as always! LOVE the sledding hill (as did the kids). We had a full house and it didn't feel crowded at all, lots of space for eating, sleeping, and playing. Will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Disappointed - Would NOT stay again.
Publié le 24 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe would not stay here again. We booked for mid-February 2023 and stayed only 1 out of 3 planned nights. Despite the beauty of the surrounding area, this lodge’s standards have clearly slipped. The most unacceptable condition of the property was the unplowed driveway, which we emailed the owner a week prior to our stay to ensure there would be no issues getting to the cabin. We were reassured by Mark (the owner) that housekeeping plows the driveway. It was SOLID ice; a few inches think. Our mini-van couldn’t traverse the driveway. The 4x4 pickup made it up the ice sheet once, but it now has a new paint job after sliding down the ice and into one of the bushes on the low side of the driveway.
The level of neglect of the driveway was unacceptable. My husband and I literally had to crawl on our hands and knees to get up the driveway because it was so slippery. We saw footprints going up the side of the driveway going underneath a bush, perhaps this is how housekeeping got to the cabin. Regardless, we couldn’t get to and from the cabin and do any of the other activities we had planned in the surrounding area.
We did finally make it inside to discover crumbs in various rooms on the floor, stained sheets, cobwebs and dust in the master bedroom, the leather couch downstairs was ripped, huge wrinkles in the carpet that are tripping hazards, and trash in various cabinets/drawers. The oven was filthy and we had to clean out huge chunks of burnt food. The sheets were terrible. There were stains the size of a post-it notes on one of the twin beds as well as droplet stains on various pillow cases.
I contacted Mark after arriving to tell him about the terrible condition of the driveway and he said it must have been the “freezing rain” the night before. He was very surprised the driveway was that bad. Again, it was clear this driveway was neglected. And it wasn’t freezing rain – there were no issues with any roads up to the cabin’s driveway and no sign of ice on any trees in the area. The final straw was when my elderly father slipped on the ice just walking outside the house at the top of the driveway (the flat parking area) and hit the back of his head. I contacted Mark again stating that we had to leave. He offered to put additional sand and salt down, but after the lackluster accommodations and inability to use the driveway to get in and out, we had enough.
I hope this feedback will improve the interior of the cabin as well as the standards of the care.

First and foremost, we are very sorry you did not enjoy your stay and we thank you for your feedback. Please know that we are a 5-star rated property since inception with VRBO and have maintained premiere partner status with VRBO since inception of their Premier program. Our professional housekeeping service that we have had for 8 years do their absolute best to provide extremely high standards for all guests. We are sorry you felt they did not clean to your expectations. I did talk to our housekeeping manager about all your concerns as we take housekeeping and maintenance very seriously. Please know that our professional housekeeping team was at the Lodge all morning on your arrival day doing their best to provide an early check in and readying the Lodge for your stay. I have forwarded your comments on to them so that they can inform their team that for your arrival you felt it was not at your standards. Housekeeping certainly would have returned to the Lodge if only you would have told us shortly after checking in early around 2-2:30pm hour that you wanted more cleaning done so that we could meet your expectations, but we received no call or update until late morning next day. We always want to meet or exceed service standards. Our manager of housekeeping always leaves her business card on the bar countertop just in case guests need anything. We also provide contact information in all our pre arrival letters and within our Welcome Packet that helps better prepare our guests for their stay before arrival. Housekeeping would have been very happy to return as we have high standards and will never abandon our guests. I wish we could have met your expectations just as we did for our VRBO Guests that checked out one day before your arrival who also reviewed our property and gave us a wonderful 5-star review and said all 14 of them look forward to returning next year.
Whilst we cannot control the mountain conditions, we do apologize that the weather conditions outside of our control moved in the day(s) before your arrival causing icy conditions all over our region. The unseasonable warming weather pattern coupled with freezing rain before your arrival and then followed by an extremely cold weather pattern caused the icy conditions. Even though we did our best to provide access up our not so steep driveway, we can only do so much with what mother nature throws at us in winter and inform guests accordingly. Whilst your 4x4 made it to the top of our driveway, I'm sorry the van could not and that it had to be parked at the bottom of the driveway. As we do not have bushes on the low side of the driveway, I am unsure what your driver may have hit on the way out. There is a log arch that could be hit that we are now thinking of removing but we really do not have bushes and most of the driveway is flat except the small grade as you leave the road and come up the wide entrance of the driveway to our Lodge.
Please also know that Housekeeping and maintenance did have the driveway clear for access otherwise your 4x4 would not have been able to make it to the top. Despite our best maintenance efforts to add more traction to the driveway from deicer (extra bags in the garage supplied for guest to also use as needed), add more gravel and even offering to bring in more the following day we understand from your call to me that you felt it best to return home early and that you wanted to leave.
It’s also important to know that the reason the roads leading to our lodge in our development are always in better condition than owner driveways is that they are fully exposed to sunlight all day long which helps keep them clear. The shady parts of the road however will have some ice on them which is unavoidable much like driveways that do not get all day sun. Housekeeping also informed me that they did not walk up the driveway as you may have thought, the footprints were that of other guests the day before your arrival most likely from kids playing in the snow or coming back from a winter walk inside our beautiful private development. Housekeeping also informed me that they drove up the driveway with no problems the morning of your arrival in a front wheel drive Subaru whereby they carried in fresh linens laundered off site to make up the beds and put towels in the bathrooms as they do on the morning of all guest arrivals.
We very much thank you for your review and again we are sincerely sorry we could not provide the experience to your family that so many other Guests have enjoyed. We respect the fact that you wanted to depart early rather than our team coming up immediately to address any of the concerns you had. We value and appreciate all feedback and promise to work and always improve upon our guest experience.
