Clean, comfortable & the staff was super nice & helpful. Went for a musical festival & was pleasantly surprised with this hotel.

There wasn’t very much to like about the property and there was no power the first night we got there and they did not discount our rate. No power, no hot water we were led to our room by the person at the desk with the flashlight

Lisa, You were allowed to cancel your original reservation and got a full refund for it. You then booked a second stay know that there was no electric. You were given the option to cancel on many occasions. I spoke with you several times giving you the option to cancel.

It was a total blackout from Friday - Sunday

I'm sorry we were hit be a hurricane. You were given the option of cancelling the reservation and chose to stay even without power. Every time we were asked we gave the update we had which was. A crew has been assigned but not dispatched. You were allowed to cancel your 2nd room without penalty even though there was a 45 day cancellation period and this cancellation had nothing to do with the electric being out, you said you made it by mistake.

I understand that the area has been hit with an historic storm and many circumstances are beyond the control of the hotel staff. However, paying $442 for a room with no electricity or hot water feels like price gouging. No a/c also made for a very unpleasant stay, and while we were grateful to have shelter, we could barely sleep. The woman at the front desk was very rude and said we “should have known” there was no power (businesses just down the street had power & there was no indication of any problems when we booked online). Rooms are now being advertised at 1/3 the cost, so I can only assume this establishment was taking advantage of the situation & price gouging. There was no offer for any kind of compensation for our discomfort (some cold bottled water? A partial refund of the outrageous room rate? We never demanded a full refund, but something to acknowledge the lack of power, a/c, & hot water would have been appropriate). I will NEVER stay here or recommend this hotel to anyone after how we were treated.

When you walked in the door there were no lights. How could I give out cold water when we had no electric? I offer not to check you in and refund but you refused. You stayed knowing there was no electric. Now you want to scream for a discount. The prices for game weekends are made months in advance. The prices had nothing to do with the storm.
