Ferien im Wendland

Das kleine Hotel ist Teil eines ehemaligen Bauernhofes in einem "Rundling"-Dorf, wie sie für das Wendland oft typisch sind. Der Besitzer hält auch jetzt noch zwei Schweine und Hühner. Bei einer schwarzen Flugente waren grade acht Küken geschlüpft. Sie wurden achtsam im Stall gehalten; denn, wie man mir berichtete, waren vor sechs Wochen die damals geschlüpften Entenküken zu früh rausgegangen und erbarmungslos von Raubvögeln erbeutet worden. Außerdem war der zum Hof gehörige Teich momentan ausgetrocknet. Wendland bedeutet Natur, Naturschutz, Natur-Erleben: seltene Vögel, seltene Pflanzen und viele Radwege. Wer sie transportieren kann, nimmt sich Kartoffeln aus dem Wendland mit nach Hause. Ich habe die Zeit dort sehr genossen.
