Loved our stay!
Publié le 23 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was the perfect house for our girls getaway! We loved how close it was to the water, the deck right above the water, and the dock for swimming and fishing. Quiet neighborhood, we had a very relaxing stay!

Good for dog owners
Publié le 10 août 2024 sur HomeAwayIf you have a dog stay. If the presence of dog hair and a chase blanket that smells of dog bothers you, don't. We don't have any pets and my wife was not thrilled. But I might be back with fishing buddies.

Heavenly getaway
Publié le 1 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis cottage is exactly as it says it is online! Great location for the the road less travelled; yet close to amenities by land and water.
It was wicked hot while we were there yet the cottage stayed nice and cool!
The host happened to be in the big house a few days while we were there and helped us out immensely w/a boat launch issue that was ours - a skittish wife who didn’t want to pull a boat trailer up and down the hilly roads.
We saw the sun rise each morning and we fished and took boat rides, played on the lily pad, watched skiers and boaters. We fished and saw a crane fight and became friends with the nice people at Crazy Roy’s cafe and bar! Met Roy himself, he’s a hoot!
We’ll be back next year!

Great little cabin!

Little cottage with a steep driveway
Publié le 10 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayCute cottage but needing some repairs. The driveway is very steep, we pulled down the first day and had to use 4 wheel drive to get back up so we parked up above in the provided space after that. Overall we had a good time.

Short, Quiet getaway
Publié le 15 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayIt was so nice to be on the water for a few days. It is a little cramped, but we weren't in the house much. My husband wanted to watch the basketball final on TV and was in contact with the owner when we didn't have TV or WIFI access. That was never resolved. Be ready for the driveway!!! We are PROs NOW! We were under the impression the driveway was steep (as they usually are with these homes on the lake)- we know this and if we didn't feel comfortable driving down it, we could stay at the top. Its steep folks! Anyway, the house serves its purpos and we were very appreciative!

-"We apologize for the Wifi and television issue you experienced during your stay. There was an equipment malfunction from our single source supplier in our rural area, and despite our efforts to get it resolved while you were there, unfortunately, it was not fixed until after you had already left. We understand the inconvenience this may have caused and apologize for any disruptions to your stay.
-Regarding the driveway, we want to clarify that it is made of concrete and not gravel, ensuring that traction is not an issue. While we understand that it is steep, we assure you that it is still usable and safe for vehicles. Additionally, we do have alternative parking available, albeit not as close to the house, but it is within a reasonable distance. We make sure to mention the steepness of the driveway and the availability of alternative parking in our welcome email, so guests are aware of this before their arrival.
Once again, we genuinely thank you for sharing your concerns, and we hope that despite these challenges, you were still able to enjoy your stay."

Beautiful (but cold!)
Publié le 24 nov. 2022 sur HomeAwayLoved the view. The cabin was rustic, which I expected. The only issue I had was the temp outside got down in the 20s. There was a wood burning stove, but no fuel. I had to wear my coat inside the whole time.

If you had contacted us we would have assisted you with that issue. The house is equipped with electric heat and guests can set the temperature so that they are comfortable. We are sorry you weren’t completely satisfied. We hope you were still able to enjoy your vacation. We have had such positive reviews in the past. We work very hard to ensure all guests have a 5-star experience at our vacation home!
