Wonderful autumn retreat
Publié le 18 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was the BEST cabin for our fall getaway! It was cozy, private, and quiet. The view of the lake from inside the cabin and from the backyard is spectacular. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, making cooking meals together a breeze. Our dog loved the yard and surrounding woods. The house was very clean and the host was responsive. We had a wonderful time and would love to stay again!

Beautiful Escape
Publié le 3 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had the most amazing time at this property! The area was very peaceful and the house had everything we needed to enjoy the lake and home cooked meals. The town Battle Lake was close by in case we needed to grab something we forgot from home. Couldn’t recommend this place enough and we hope to be back soon.

Peace and quiet

The quiet lake setting is beautiful, and we appreciated the Kayak available for use. These two retirees are more than willing to return again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Perfect lake cabin!
Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HomeAwayCabin was clean and had everything we needed! Our dog loved running in the big yard and swimming. The kayaks, canoe and paddle board were all in good condition. Page was an awesome host and provided us with everything we needed and more! Cabin is close to battle lake and fergus falls and we explored those towns on rainy days and found lots of fun things to do. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

Perfect weekend getaway!
Publié le 13 août 2024 sur HomeAwayIf you are looking for a private relaxing getaway this is the place to come. House/cabin was very clean and private. Was a bit cool at night and early mornings so wish we could have used the wood stove and one propane tank was empty but there was another one we used. Can hear neighbors and dogs but couldn't see any one so very private. I would highly recommend!

Relaxing Getaway

Property was as described, very well taken care of and check-in was a breeze... Had a small issue with grill propane that Page immediately addressed... Overall a great experience and is highly recommended

Long weekend get away
Publié le 23 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayIt was a nice cabin, but felt like it wasn’t clean. Bedroom floor had ants which were all over our bags. We found a mice nest with babies in the grill. We were also told we could swim, our boys and dogs were filled with leaches. Fishing wasn’t good, only caught a couple small pan fish. It was private until Sunday morning when a group of people and kids came to our dock kayaking. Be prepared to cut your own firewood as they didn’t have any precut, as they said they have firewood. Bring hand soap for bathroom and kitchen sink, as there wasn’t any.
Location was beautiful and quiet. Communication with page was great.

Thank you for valuable feedback Nicole! We will work hard to address the issues that you mentioned, unfortunately alot of these concerns are far beyond our control. Bugs, critters, leechs, etc are the down fall of having a getaway in the woods. Which we completely understand is not for everyone! Per previous reviews many guests have enjoyed the fishing & swimming we have to offer I wish you would have reached out regarding the firewood & soap so I could have directed you to where they were at. We do provide a large pile of cut firewood for use on site just east of the pit, additional supplies as well. I will be sure to communicate that with guests better moving forward. Nonetheless we are saddened to hear you didn't get the experience you were looking for. Thank you again for your stay!
