Stacey has left a mouth-watering fresh pie inside the cabin for us both times, and it’s a very thoughtful and inviting welcome. Matador is thoughtfully laid out, has everything one needs, and is in a beautiful and fun spot within the village. The porch is a wonderful afternoon spot to watch the world go by. The kitchen has a big beautiful window that lets you take in the forest while cooking. We always sleep well here!
Matador is a great central location for an enormous amount of outdoor activity. It’s off the main highway, but close enough to stroll to Burro St. We hope to return here again and again!

Cozy Mountain Cabin

Well Stocked
Publié le 7 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayMe, husband and in-laws stayed for 4th of July, we’ve stayed all over New Mexico and Colorado cabins and this is by far the best stocked cabin ever, we even had a Carmel Apple Pie waiting for us at arrival. Our dogs enjoyed the gated patio and watching deer and elk pass by. We’ve been to Cloudcroft many times but never on the 4th of July holiday, crowds were insane, looking forward to coming back with less crowds. Cabin is close to everything downtown, neighborhood was quite but the side street was very busy. Beds and furnishings were cozy, clean and comfortable. Would recommend and stay again! Thanks for having us!
