Was being remodeled and water was out.

Thank you for leaving a review of our hotel. Unfortunately, the renovations require some work on the plumbing for the new rooms. We made sure to let our guests know that the water would be shut off between 10AM and 5PM. We apologize for any inconvenience. The new rooms will be awesome and should be completed in a timely manner.

Sleepless in Lake Jackson

At 1:40 am in the morning the smoke detector in the room started beeping every few minutes. When I called the front desk, I was told that he was just supposed to watch the desk and check people in. I asked him what he was doing to correct the problem and was told he didn't know what to do or who to call. There was trash piled up in the parking lot; though they just went through a storm other motels in the area did not have trash piled up.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our hotel. I apologize for the fire alarm problem. The night auditor checked the area and found no fire but the smoke detector had been damaged by water. We had to call the fire department to help us stop the alarm.I'm sure you noticed the sign in the lobby explaining that we are under construction. The items you saw in the parking lot are related to that. As the dumpster is filled it is taken away. When an empty one is returned the boxes are removed. Some of the items are also related to what we will be putting in the new rooms. As a construction site there will be some trash around. We have blocked off that area so no guest is endangered.

I regret we were unable to refund your no-show charges since we did hold your room and turn away other possible guests. The hotel makes an effort to make sure guests are totally aware of the cut off time by providing both the date and time a reservation can be cancelled without penalty.

Could use some TLC but it’s a nice hotel. The breakfast was really good. The staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints
