Everything about the Lynwood House was wonderful! The room was beautiful, with a sitting area and a brand new on suite bathroom. There was a kettle for tea, a hair dryer, and a television. The bed was extremely comfortable and the views from the room are unmatched. Peter was so warm and welcoming, providing a bit of history and directing us to the best places in the town. We'd be glad to return on a future trip!
I can’t say enough good things about Peter & Fin at Lynwood! They are warm & gracious hosts. The property is cozy and clean. The furnishings are beautiful and the bathrooms are fully remodeled. It’s a short walk into town, which made our visit so easy. The coffee, tea and croissants each morning were delicious. Peter offered several suggestions on what to do locally. The Titanic Experience, the Irish Heritage Museum & St. Colman’s Cathedral were all well worth it! Loved chatting with Peter and Fin, too. HIGHLY recommend and well back on our next trip to Ireland! 🇮🇪
It was nothing like it looked on website. Booked 2 rooms. There was no heat available in each room. Roof was leaking in one room. About the worst place that I have ever stayed. Oh. no hot water in one room. Sink wasn't working, so owner said to brush teeth in the shower.
Perfect location. 10 minute walk into town. It’s an older property with nice views of the water.
Breakfast was nice with croissants and coffee or tea. The host Peter is very welcoming and is knowledgeable on things to do in the area.
Rooms are a bit cold but it is October and the weather was cold windy and rainy while we were there. I would recommend a stay.
Lovely property! Peter and family are welcoming and warm. Junior the dog became our best friend in 2 nights. Cobh and the surrounding area are truly a wonderful place to be so just do it!

If you don’t like dogs this is not the place for you as their huge dog was always around - even whilst we were having breakfast.
These premises are a recent purchase by the couple and are a ‘work in progress’ project.
There is no cooked breakfast option but the continental is ok and the fresh home baked soda bread was delicious !
If you enjoy a relaxing, homely ambiance Lynwood House is perfect. You will have a warm welcome, great advice about the locality and a lovely room in a Victorian House. Our room had a sea view with a settee facing the view. Perfect for watching the maritime traffic.
Thank you Peter and Finn for your warm welcome and great hospitality.
Very nice home with a awesome view of the port, the hosts were very accommodating and had some very good recommendations! Especially for places to eat in the nearby Kinsale. Fisherman's catch was delicious.

Nice location. Room was large and bed very comfortable. Bathrooms have been upgraded but needed a good cleaning of floors and walls I think. Had a nice view of the harbour. Host was very good and helpful.
This was the best bed and breakfast we've ever been to and we've stayed in lots of them. Peter and his wife were amazing hosts! And the breakfast was the best one we had on our 8 day trip thru Ireland.. don't hesitate just book this one!
Beautiful house, friendly hosts, wonderful dog, a little cold, but thats to be expected in such an old house, a bit of a walk to the train station and main street
My friend and I stayed in two rooms. Peter is a great host, full of helpful information and really friendly. The rooms were amazing and the beds were extremely comfortable. Each room having an ensuite is a bonus and doesn’t take away from the spaciousness of the room. There is also an elevator for guests with mobility issues, which is a huge bonus in guesthouses, especially if that age. If you’re a dog lover, the family dog is also a lovable gentle giant. We highly recommend this guesthouse.
The owners, Peter and Finn, were extremely hospitable and genuine. Peter was quick to respond to all of my messages and went above and beyond in assisting my daughter and I with our late check in.
Although the property is in transition and missing a few details, it's still quite satisfactory.
We would definitely stay again! Beautiful home and accommodations!
P.S. Junior the dog is a keeper!
Séjour très agréable dans une très belle maison victorienne. Vite disponible et chaleureux. Très belle vue au calme et proche du secteur touristique. Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Salle de bain moderne.
