Posted Nov. 7, 2021 on HomeAwayLa’al Cottage is a lovely homely cottage with everything you need for a perfect stay. Howard and Jen have really thought about everything you might need to the smallest detail. The welcome pack had loads of home cooked goodies to die for and also wine, beer and basics like milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and condiments. There were even dog snacks for our labradors. Howard gave us excellent written directions for finding the cottage and also lists of places to visit, local pubs, restaurants and cafes, which was really helpful. Howard also came to check everything was in order when we first arrived and we then saw him to chat to when we were walking the dogs around the village. Greysouthen is a quiet village which is a great location for visiting the Eastern lakes, which is what we did whilst there. You could also visit the Cumbrian Coast or local Towns like Cockermouth.
All in all we received a very warm welcome to La’al Cottage (and not just from the very effective central heating!).
