Fish from the river deck or watch missles go up from Cape Canaveral situated right across the river. Enjoy the short stroll or bike along the river road to historic Cocoa Village. In the village enjoy boutiques, restaurants, outdoor jazz, and special events. Only 8 miles or about 15 minutes from world famous Cocoa Beach, Canaveral Pier & Ron Jon Surf shop. 45 minutes along the Beach Line HWY 528 to Orlando tourist attractions yet away from the crowds and traffic. Spend a day farther north in historic St Augustine or Daytona Beach. This historic Craftsman style home has all the southern charm of days gone by yet all the conveniences you will need to have a wonderful vacation. Great time at Strong Haven
My family and I enjoyed staying at this beautiful old home with so much history and charm. We loved the porches and especially the dock in the evenings where we saw a dolphin, a manatee and stingrays.

July 4th Trip
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Home. Everything was nearby restaurant's, activities, and shopping. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and from our boat that we docked at the dock in front of the house. Such a wonderful trip we made lots of memories and plan to visit again in the future. Awesome place to stay.

Wonderful House, great stay
The house was great. It was clean and well appointed. Comfortable places to sit, with plenty of seating, indoors and out. Perfect for people that needed a little space to spread out. It was close to a lot. Publix near by (by car). Spent time in Coco Beach Village. We even got to watch a SpaceX launch from the front yard. Next time we are going to use the BBQ. Thank you Vivian for a great stay. Just stay off the pier. Hurricanes really took a toll on it.

Historic House
This historic house is charming and cozy, it felt like staying in a New England home combine with the southern vibe of the tropics! The property is located in an attractive and quiet neighborhood, still close to the action of the Cocoa Village community. The balcony was the perfect setting for our family and friends gathering for drinks, appetizers, and conversations along with memories revivals; all this while enjoying the relaxing views of nature and the river. The house was clean, beds were comfortable with soft sheets. Each floor had an ac/heater unit and it worked perfectly to keep the right temperature. Kitchen well equipped with all kind of utensils, pots, pans, 2 coffee makers, toaster etc. I would book this property again.

NE family vacation
There was a mixup and the house wasn’t cleaned when we got there. However Vivian was apologetic, made it right, and the cleaning crew came as soon as it was convenient for us. The house was comfortable and nicely decorated. Our family absolutely loved learning the history about this house from books and information in the binder. We had a great time fishing on the dock and our boys caught lots of anole lizards, small crabs, fish, and even a horseshoe crab!

Strong Haven...Wow!
Our multi-generational family came for a family reunion in Cocoa. Homey and nostalgic, curious and fascinating, comfy and convenient, even toys for the little one, Strong Haven held appeal for all of us. From fishing early in the morning to sitting on the hugh porch late into the evening enjoying the river view after a trip to the beach or our reunion activities, we loved it! Creepy.
This is one of the creepiest places I have ever seen. My companion and I decided it was gonna be a hard pass after initial inspection. It looks like a horror movie set and the pictures online do not represent this at all. I felt as though we were being watched from the moment we pulled into the place. No window treatments, odd lighting choices, mirrors on mirrors an odd slanted room. I felt like there were cameras or something watching. I mean I was expecting an old place. I have stayed and lived in many old homes many over 100 years old but I have never had the feeling this place exuded. Needless to say we stayed elsewhere. Caveat Emptor. That being said, to each their own. You might love it.

Totally delivered
This property is just what you see in the listing. It was like walking into a warm hug. The porch was all you could want, screened in at one end for those buggy nights. It’s on a quiet street, close to everything. We walked into the cutest chilliest town. 15 minutes from the beach and great food. Perfect for a large family with everything you could possibly need. If life takes me back to Cocoa I’ll do my best to to get this awesome hime again. Did I mention that it was AWESOME!

If you want fishing this is the place! But you have to bring everything there. Near by downtown good location! I see a lot of bugs in the house ….. spiders…… I wished they are more organized staff. Overall ok place.

This property and the house are absolutely beautiful. Perfect location to walk around town. The Indian River Lagoon is AMAZING! Every morning we walked down and watched the dolphins. My family and I absolutely loved this house, property and location.

Sweet Spot at Strong Haven
Owner was wonderfully responsive. Location is perfect, right on the river and a 15 minute walk to Cocoa village. The sunrise from the property’s private pier/dock was beautiful. Excellent view of launches from Kennedy Space Center. The large front porch was beautiful and a great place to sit and relax.

Lovely, restful, has options, and with all the charm of FL!
I love the view from the front porch of the trees and flora, the beauty of the decor in/out of the house and that my kids could fish from the dock (we thought it was off a back porch. It's actually not!). My son caught his first fish and my men saw a dolphin fin nearby. We learned just in time NOT to pour water into the Indian River to attract manatees (bummer!) and we loved being away from the tourism but 10" near the ocean. The kitchen amenities were great and abundant for provisions and my son was delighted to make pancakes for all of us one morning. There were a variety of rooms and beds for all. I will say that the room my husband and I were in did not have the most back supportive mattress (firm) for my pre-existing problem that exacerbated during our 4 night stay. We changed rooms mid stay with my son and found the memory foam style helpful and viewed the experience as a bit of Goldilocks and trying out styles for our need of a new mattress at home anyway. I'm glad there are options in the house. Thank you for laundry, fishing poles, bikes, loveliness, and sharing your family home with us. It provided much rest of heart and mind for our families to connect and enjoy ourselves. We would love to come again and will recommend it to others!

This is a beautiful, older home. Property was beautiful, setting was wonderful. The draw backs of having an older home were what we had issue with. We were a group of 7 "senior" adults. All related. We had issue with the beds. They are not comfortable. The only bed that was comfortable was the queen bed in the bedroom that has two beds, and I was the one in that bed. LInens were nice in all beds but the mattresses were a bit uncomfortable. Especially the bed in the downstairs bedroom. It seems the downstairs bedroom is an "add-on" and the floor is not level as it has a slight slant,. Unfortunately that is the bedroom my oldest brother and sister in law were in. He was in that room because he could not go up the stairs. He is not disabled or need a wheelchair or anything in his daily life, but he had a hard time with the room slanting and he and his wife were not able to sleep together in the bed. So, my sister in law had to sleep on the couch in the living room. I didn't know this at the time, but they were considering going back home or getting a hotel room, which they didn't do because they felt it would hurt my feelings. Our stay together was great. Most of us enjoyed the house and the property. We even were able to sit on the dock and in the front yard and watch a rocket launch. And the front porch was amazing. If I am ever going to be in the area with my family of 5, we will definitely try to book with this property again. I'm sorry for the not so good review but everyone felt some things needed to be said.

Beautiful House!
Vivian could not have been a nicer, more responsive host. The setting of this home is perfect, right across from the water, which you have access to immediately across the street. The welcoming front porch invites you into the open arms of this jewel. Stepping inside you are greeted by beautiful, eye popping craftsmanship, gorgeous woodwork and timeless prairie/craftsmen style trim and fixtures. Nothing is left undone, short of food and toiletries, you'll find yourself needing nothing more. Relax in the beautiful living room, appreciate the ceiling beams and light fixtures and imagine the family get-togethers and holidays that took place here over the decades. Same for the dining room. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need, all the modern conveniences set in a stately manor. We could not possibly be happier with our choice to stay here.
