Publié le 16 août 2015 sur HotelsTrès bon accueil,personnel très serviable,terrasse intérieure semi couverte appréciable.etablissement ancien dans un bel environnement avec décor de bon goût(pour ceux qui aiment l'ancien)au niveau repas,c'est l'Angleterre,on ne fera pas de miracle(les bons produits sont la,mais pas la manière)

Lovely old property but needs some TLC

The hotel is full of character and had a good selection of beers. We didn’t eat there as we’d been out during the day and had an early start in the morning.
Staff were helpful and friendly during check in and in the pub area.
Corridor up to the bedroom was small and wonky which was part of the charm of such an old building but just something to be aware of while carrying luggage or being a little infirm. Our room was very small and a bit tired looking. The wardrobe was cheap and the back falling out. The wall lights had been changed so there were gaps in the wallpaper. The new lampshades had been burned by the lightbulbs so was a little bit concerning. The room was very dark and better lighting would certainly have helped with moving around such a small space. The bathroom was tiny - and needed some tlc and updating. The shower pressure wasn’t very good and it quickly got steamed up with nowhere to vent out to.
It was ok for one night.

Run down hotel
Publié le 7 sept. 2024 sur HotelsNice and helpful staff but the hotel is run down, my room was not very clean, the toilet was leaking, the bathroom needed a good upgrade. It is a shame, 10 years ago it was a very good hotel but today it seems to be run by people who wants the money without investing in their hotel...

The only downside was the lack of choice on the food, I asked for 3 of the options on the light menu, not avaiable and 2 on the main menu, the same.
