Great Weekend Getaway
Publié le 24 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayImpressed both me and my partner for our Anniversary Trip, amenities were abundant for the size of the building, super scenic on clear mornings (Mt Hutt, Taylor & Harper visible) making it perfect for casual or experienced photographers (especially with the amount of native Fauna flying around). Ashburton, Geraldine and Lake Hood all reachable in 25-35min depending on traffic,otherwise a great location away from everything but close enough to major towns to have a great weekend away in Mid-Canterbury.

Very peaceful rural hideaway
Publié le 10 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayColdstream isn't on the tourist track but that was the point, just to get away from everything in a quiet rural setting. The rhythms of the surrounding farm were very peaceful and the nearby coast was good to explore. Only 40 minutes drive to great tramping too. The cottage was small but perfectly formed - great kitchen, awesome shower pressure, cosy at night, and spotless. Some wee treats provided by the host were a nice touch. Thanks for a great stay.

Publié le 29 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWhat a great place - in the middle of a farm, totally private, gorgeous cherry blossoms from every window with paddocks and mountains in the background. Spotless, comfy (double) bed, air conditioning, great TV channels, oil heater if needed as well as bathroom heater and even managed to fit in a washing machine. Above and beyond our expectations - the shampoo, conditioner, body wash were divine. Highly recommend - easy to get takeaway in Ashburton 20 minutes away if you don't want to cook.
