Cosy home in a great location
Publié le 12 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayReally happy with our stay here 5min drive out of the Coles Bay township. Our kids loved this place, plenty of space to play inside and explore it in the bush. There's a track adjacent the house with a easy 15min stroll through the bush down to the beach.
The house was clean and tidy with all the typical requirements. The wood fire kept the house nice and warm.. Three reasonable size bedrooms fitted with comfortable beds.
We would happily recommend this stay

Lovely beach retreat
Publié le 14 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house was lovely - great spacious living room with fresh, new carpet, comfy sofas, well equipped and provisioned kitchen and nice outlook onto native coastal vegetation meant that there were lots of birds around and you are not looking onto another property - good holiday vibe! Easy walk (800m) to a lovely beach - good for swimming, walking etc in the bay. Easy drive to Coles Bay township, Freycinet National Park (for great walks and spectacular scenery) and the local Marine Farm for fresh oysters. Really enjoyed the stay here and would return. Just be aware you are expected to clean the property before leaving as it is difficult to get cleaners in the area.

Lovely stay in Coles Bay area
Publié le 19 déc. 2022 sur HomeAwayWe had a great time at this very comfortable property and loved the fireplace on a cold evening. It has an excellent kitchen which we used for some home cooked meals and loved the view from the newly refurbished bathroom.

Poor beds, a bit tired
Publié le 13 déc. 2022 sur HomeAwayOld Bed frames not great, especially with 3 teenagers. Cobwebs. House rather tired except for bathroom. Beer bottles rattling on buffet each time walked past. Could easily make small improvements.

Had you taken the time to read the description and flick through the photos on the website you would see our holiday is perfectly described home on the website with many photos of the interior, (including old style, but very comfortable beds and also the kitchen cabinet with beer bottles collected on overseas trips around the world)
I'm sorry your personal tastes and opinions were offended by old style bed frames and tinkling bottles. As you must have noticed, our preference is older style furniture and is deliberately chosen. This was our choice. and preference for our holiday home.
Curiously the very next guests left this review;
Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable and Mike’s place is very obviously a loved family holiday home. We enjoyed the fact that Mike’s place embodied the spirit of old school Airbnb - you are a guest at someone’s home - rather than some of the more ‘corporatised’ stays that are now more prevalent. It is an older style beach house, but comfy, clean, well equipped and just as described by Mike.
How perceptive!
Honestly, ~95% of our reviews are appreciative and supportive.
Next time you book a holiday rental please research it more carefully.
