Nice house, disappointing stay, zero flexibility.
Publié le 11 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property looked great. Our plan was to play golf at the nearby course, then check in post 3.00pm. However, we could not get on so we arrived over 2 hours early - rang to see if we could check in a tad earlier, was told that we would be let in around 1.30 if possible- eventually got in just on 3 as the cleaners were leaving. When we got in, there were only 2 beds made up. We rented a 3 bedroom house, so we expected to be able to sleep in all bedrooms - as we are all over 60 and one couple sleeps in separate rooms. Consequently, one of our group had 2 days of almost zero sleep. The television had almost nil reception both nights we were there - which was disappointing as we are all NRL supporters and missed both live matches - the first of which on Thursday night we rushed home from dinner to watch. I did report the issue, but was told to retune the channels…which I had already done. There was no wifi which is a very basic facility to provide. There was also an ant issue. We left a packet of biscuits on the kitchen bench and came back to find them ant infested. Overall, very disappointing and frustrating.

We are disappointed to know you did not enjoy your stay at this lovely property and we have taken note of the maintenance issues you raised to investigate further.
Apologies that we were not able to pull off an early check in for you. We always try to accommodate our guest’s requests, however we cannot always comply with an early check without more notice.
We do send correspondence requesting the bedding configuration required for each party arriving at our properties. This avoids us having to launder all linen in a property where not all the beds are needed. In saying that, we are always just a phone call away and happy to provide whatever we can to ensure our guests have an enjoyable and comfortable stay, this includes additional bedding when required.
We hope these difficulties did not impact on you having a wonderful holiday in this stunning region of Tasmania.

Beautifully presented spacious home in secluded location
Publié le 2 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house was extremely comfortable for three couples and had a fully equipped kitchen , from which we were able to prepare all our meals including dinner .
The large living area and dining table allowed us to relax and enjoy the stunning location on the Freycinet Peninsula.
Coles Bay and the National Park were just a short drive away.

Shocking Customer Service
Publié le 4 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe found the overall attitude of the local agent to be very inflexible, especially in relation to the check in process where the property was clearly ready to receive us prior to check in but the agents refused entry because of their inflexible and insensitive processes, knowing that we had an infant in tow. A large block of wood fell from the ceiling during a period of high winds narrowly missing my sleeping 9 month old granddaughter. I hate to think who would have taken responsibility if a bad accident had happened. Having said all of that the property was excellent although would benefit from outdoor seating for 6 and possibly an outdoor dining option.

It is disappointing to know that not being able to check in early has had a negative impact on your stay, our team strives to help guests create wonderful experiences and we apologise that we could not do this for you.
We always try to accommodate our guest’s requests and if we have enough notice, we can usually allow an early check in. However, we cannot always comply if it is sprung on us that you are needing an early check in last minute. We do have many things to consider, and we do need to reach our operations managers who are out double checking properties after our cleaning team, ensuring there is no maintenance needed and that houses are perfect for our guests.
Your safety is our priority, which is why we have the processes that we do. Thank you for reporting this near miss incident, we will follow up immediately.

Great place to stay

Very comfortable quiet place with tree view

A Special Treat

The only thing that could be improved is a few chairs with good back support, maybe a couple of recliners or plastic high back chairs on the deck. I would definitely stay there again.

The house looked just like the photos and was pretty impressive and once the internet arrives it will make the perfect place to stay in Coles Bay
