Un superbe et authentique palace toscan tenu par de très charmantes personnes. La chambre était magnifique et vraiment confortable. Le petit déjeuner est diversifié, copieux et très bon, je vous recommande d’y passer une nuit ou plus les yeux fermés !

Room downgraded (20 m2 -> 11 m2), no compensation!
Publié le 11 juill. 2024 sur HotelsThe environment, building, views and breakfast are excellent. But a huge problem is that they advertise a room that does not even exist in reality! We booked a 20 m2 Superior room with balcony, hill view and king size bed. What we got was a cramped 11 m2 room with a queen bed, which they sell as ”for single use”. What they said is that none of the 20 m2 superior rooms have a balcony or a hill view (both of which are must-haves in a place like Colle di Val d’Elsa). No refund or other compensation offered, the only other alternative room they offered would have been the aforementioned another downgraded one without balcony & without hill view. They just try to avoid any responsibilities and just say ”it’s a mistake at hotels.com / Expedia, nothing we can do with it”. This is a clear violation of EU legislation. Buyers beware!

Dear Guest,we are sorry to read this review. You wrote an anonymous review and this already says a lot...We'll tell you a little about how it went so that the other guests who will read this understand!!!When you arrived we asked you if you would like to have a room with balcony even if it was a little small. You had booked a superior room (shown obviously not preferred by you because you wanted the view) where there is no terrace also because it doesn't exist! The terrace have just the Junior Suite and the Magnus & Johnny ( that you had)After 1 hour you came down, saying that you had booked a room with a terrace, showing us the Junior Suite but you didn't book that one.We believe using those words is really too much! we offered you a room change to Deluxe with a view but you wanted a balcony!! but unfortunately this typology DOES NOT EXIST IN THE HOTEL!We don't sell non-existent things also because if you go and look in the reviews of all the portals we collaborate with, only you have done this kind of review.Obviously we didn't accept the refund because we didn't do anything wrong, we were even too kind!We wish you the bestSincerely

Amazing hotel!

Me and my family had a wonderful time here, great beds, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, amazing bathrooms and a view from the windows to die for. The AC made the large room cool in a very short time. This hotel exceeded my expectations.

This was a great place to stay in the historic district. I stayed here a night with my wife while hiking the Via Francigena. The reception was friendly and efficient, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast was awesome. And they have an elevator! Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

Combination of old town and greenfield

The hotel owners are great: super friendly and helpful! We really enjoyed the stay and delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend to everyone of this beautiful hotel!
