Couldn’t Wait to Leave

The hotel insisted we hadn’t paid when we arrived despite my proving i had paid 6 months previously. VRBO couldn’t/didn’t help and despite talking to an agent who said they would be back in touch no communication was received. The host eventually turned up at the hotel after we were in bed. Also turns out that the host charged us more than the hotel would have done - an extra £50 over the two nights. The hotel is brilliantly located but apart from that it is very very basic and like walking back to the 70’s. To make matters worse, i spent both nights rebuilding my bed as the wooden struts were all loose and my mattress kept sagging through the gps. Overall my worst ever experience and i will definitely never rerurn
