Great to be met at the airport by the owner, no stress about finding the place, friendly chat. Room was disappointing noticed the smell of cigarette smoke on walking in and never got away from it. Bowls and glasses all grotty so needed a good clean before use. Walking distance to a few temples and supermarkets so a practical location. Uber cheap and readily available. Not too far from Colombo Fort train station to take some trips out of the capital. Good swimming pools on the 6th floor and a decent little food shop on the 5th floor. Wifi not worth bothering with, get a cheap plan and hotspot your phone to devices to have any success.
