Publié le 19 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayVery spacious for 6-7 ladies. Some limitations due to steps. 3 bedrooms first level but 2 bedrooms up very narrow farmhouse stairway and not good if physical issues.

Perfect!
Publié le 31 août 2024 sur HomeAwayJust what we needed. Big house with space for everyone. Safe water that allowed youngest to play without knock-out waves, so grandma could handle it alone and give M&D a break. Quiet neighborhood with no retail to bait kids. A perfect hideaway😁

Fabulous family vacation
Publié le 29 août 2024 sur HomeAwayHouse was spacious and perfect for us. We wanted a quiet beach week. We had a view of the beach from the house. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were super comfortable. We found a wagon in the shed which worked perfectly to get kids beach toys and more to the beach. Kids ride their bikes on very quiet streets in the neighborhood. Loved it !!!

Weeks Family Vacation
Publié le 5 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThis home is perfect for multiple families to meet. Two bwdrooms on one aide of the house and another bedroom across the house all on the main floor. Two additional bwdrooms upstairs and three bathrooms. Everyone was comfortable and had privacy and the best part was the house was really quiet. We couldn't hear people walkaround above us. The wings are separated by a huge living room with couches, games, books and a huge dining table. Charming! There is a spectacular view of the water and the town is easy to walk around in with lots of good restaurants. Our hosts made sure we literally had everything we needed. My favorite touch were the real cotton linens. No cheap, hot, polyester towels sherts, or comforters -it was like staying at your grandma's house. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Spring Vacation
Publié le 29 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had an amazing week in Colonial Beach. We had my parents and our 5 children (ranging in age from 17-5) stay with us and we all enjoyed the vacation! We were impressed with how clean the home was and the amount of space. The kids were all able to spread out and my younger ones really enjoyed the toys in the living room and the swing set outside. One of my favorite things to do was to drink my morning coffee on the side porch and listen to the birds. We drove to Washington D.C for a day and to Fredericksburg twice (we loved Fredericksburg!) and then spent the other days enjoying the beach, checking out Washington's Birthplace, and walking around town. I highly recommend staying here and would love to come back at some point in the future.
