Sayed two nights mid week in early September to celebrate our 39th anniversary. Pleasantly surprised with an upgrade. Loved our room. Loved the old fashioned decor with modern amenities. I wished we could have stayed another night. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Valets friendly , helpful and fast. We ate dinner in the adjacent bar. Food was good for pub fare. We had a problem getting the hot water to turn on (and stay on in the shower). Called front desk and within 8 minutes had 2 maintenance workers at our door who fixed the problem. We did not try the dining room.

The room was simply filthy. The carpet was very dirty and old. There were 2 chairs that had stains that were so bad we had to put towels on them to sit. Would never stay there again. Sad to say but I was wishing my vacation away just to be out of there.

We could have taken better advantage.
