Fall get away w my boys

Got to see lots of wildlife, the deer were right there in the back yard in the mornings. enough kitchenette to prepare our own food, but close enough to go out too. Host left a nice note and some snacks for us and the wildlife, very good experience

Publié le 10 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay, the Black Bear Chatteau. Colorado Springs was beyond what I thought it was going to be. Our host Mary Louise was such a lovely and kind woman. We were very pleased and I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this beautiful property.

Lots of outdoor steps

Gosh. I'm really bummed about the 4 star review. None of my other 5-star reviews ever mentioned difficulties with the steps leading to the chateau (which is clearly pointed out in the bio). Your description & counting of the steps makes it sound particularly brutal. Ouch! I'm sorry your friend struggled to navigate the steps.
Aside from that, you left the space clean and in good condition, which I appreciate. In the future, I would recommend reading the property description a little more closely before you book. That way your friends capability needs are met without impacting the hosts rating (when the property may not have been a good fit for him in the first place)

COS Family visit to Fort Carson

We had a late arrival on check in day and Mary left lights on and didnt rest easy until we were in unit. Unit was very clean and decorated for fall which was very charming. Very close to Fort Carson if visiting family. All the wildlife and trails are wonderful and will book again on our next trip to COS.

Spacious Retreat!
Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HomeAwayOur family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Black Bear Chateau! There was wildlife out the back door every morning and evening. Our little girls (5&7) wanted to walk around the trails in the back yard every chance they could get. The neighborhood is safe and quiet while still being conveniently located to some of Colorado Springs best attractions. Make sure to read the description of the listing to ensure it fits your family’s needs. My wife and I had never stayed in a VRBO connected to someone’s home but this was not at all an issue. The rental is the whole bottom floor. It’s very quiet and private. The host family is extra respectful of guests. They do a great job of running the vacation rental and you can tell they have put in the effort to make the place unique and special. There are lots of toys and games for kids of all ages included. Don’t worry if your kiddos leave theirs back at home. For the value this place is really hard to beat! The next time we schedule a trip to the area this will be the first place we check for availability👍

Beautiful, immaculate
Publié le 3 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWould recommend this property to anyone. Quiet and clean, with a beautiful deer there to greet us when we arrived. Great view from backyard. Mary Louise absolutely went above and beyond to accommodate us, she is a wonderful host. The space is private and close to everything we wanted to do. I would def stay here again!

A beautiful location!
Publié le 23 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved our stay. There was more than enough room for my family of four, and the kids loved to be able to walk around the property and be one with nature. I don't think we have ever been so close to wild deer as we were during the time we spent there. If we ever come back to Colorado Springs, we would definitely stay here again.

I'm so glad to hear that the deer were being good hosts, as well, and making sure you enjoyed your stay. They are pretty AWESOME!! Rutting season is pretty interesting, also. That's when all of the big bucks come down and look for their mates. They walk right down the staircase with their massive antlers. Crazy cool!
