Publié le 1 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayI picked the house and it ended up being perfect for the quick weekend visit we had. Super cute and easy to find. Close enough to the base and downtown. Which is exactly what we needed!

Awful experience
Publié le 16 déc. 2022 sur HomeAwayBooked the night before my trip to attend my son's graduation. Prior plans to travel with my family and stay elsewhere fell through hence the late booking. As you can imagine there were slim pickings but this place looked suitable for my party of one.
As with other rentals I typically anticipate receiving check-in instructions morning of my arrival. Since I booked late I figured I would get something during the day. I didn't have an opportunity to read the instructions since I was driving 9+ hours.
When I stopped for gas I pulled up the reservation to find that no check-in details had been provided. I then sent a message letting the owner know I was almost there and "how do I get in?". I got a reply when I arrived to the home and expected to find the code for entry. Instead I recevied a message with a couple links for signing agreements. Okay... I quickly skim through and sign + attach a photo of my license. The 2nd link didn't work... I sent a message notifying... waited for a response... was sent another link to try... finally it works and I send it off. Completed.
Then I get another message to send a selfie holding my license... and I thought to myself: REALLY?! For *this* place?? For 2 nights??
I take my selfie but wait... you can't attach anything in the messages. I let them know... wait for a reply... they sent an email for me to send it to... !!! At this point it was all I could do to not leave and just get a hotel room. But after the email... I sent a message saying I emailed... then finally FINALLY I get the code to enter.
With this as a start to my short trip, nothing could salvage my impression about this mediocre apartment. I did not receive any apology for this experience.... or for their lack of indicating in the listing the check-in requirements to include 2 agreements + selife with your licen

Hi Jennifer. I appreciate your feedback about the check-in process and am so sorry for the inconvenience. We do require a signed rental agreements (which most VRBOS do) and we require the selfie with your ID to prevent fraud. I can see how this would be an inconvenience with a day-of booking. We are also available via phone for a faster response than messaging. I am sorry and I still hope you had a great stay in the home and was able to enjoy your son's graduation. Congratulations to him! We would love to host you again and be able to show you a 5 star experience.
