Quiet, clean, comfortable

A nice, almost family like place. New bath facilities, colorful and comfortable. The manager's son is super friendly and helpful. Though as usually in most places you don't know where to dry the towels... I give a point less because the breakfast misses a little engagement. The lady doesn't like to communicate and she prepares everything right away in the morning... so if you come late eggs and sausage don't look too tasty. Anyways, we would stay there again!

Ótimo hotel, em Ilsa Contadora

Tudo dentro do esperado. Uma casa confortåvel, de uma ilhal, no meio do Golfo do Panamå, que foi trasnformada em hotel/pousada, com estrutura necessåria para quem quer conhecer uma ilha bacana, com ótimas praias. Café da manhã bom, atendimento do Toni, formidåvel, fez um tour pela ilha, nos mostrando os principais pontos de interesse, com muita cortesia e o melhor, gratuito, no seu carrinho de Golf.

Hotel sobre reservado

Llegamos al hotel y nos comentaron que habian sobre-reservado para el dia. Buscaron una habitacion en una residencia cerca, pero no estaba en condiciones por que lo no aceptamos. Pudieron haber tomado otra iniciativa en buscar otra opcion. Al final mi pareja y yo preguntamos por un senor amigable que nos habia dado su telefono cuando nos bajamos del ferry en el hotel Mar y Oro, en ese hotel nos ayudaron a conseguir otra habitacion por la cual si valia la pena hospedarse. OJO. Las fotos no son las mimas del hotel

off the beaten path

Great little hotel, but a little far from the beaches and most restaurants if you don't rent an ATV, since the island is hilly and not really prepared for much walking. The rooms are clean and spacious, breakfast is abundant, the only downside is the (relative) distance to most things.

Contadora Island is lovely, but there are better accommodation options than this one. On the plus side, the guest rooms all open onto the communal dining area, so we could enjoy breakfast whilst our daughter was napping in our room. Also, the rental rate for a vehicle from the B&B was competitive compared to what we saw available elsewhere, and the breakfast was good. The negatives:- we booked the superior triple room, so were shocked and disappointed to discover it was missing a window in the bathroom (covered with plastic, see photo). Also, we were told a cot for our baby would be available - and it was - but the mattress provided did not fit it. There are signs all over the cot (in English and Spanish) warning of the dangers of suffocation for babies from ill-fitting mattresses, but clearly the owners/managers of the B&B don't care. If you cannot provide a SAFE cot for a baby at your B&B don't advertise that you can as we had limited options once we arrived, but could have brought our own if we had known in advance.

Kom tot rust op Contadora

Contadora Island is mooi, met een aantal wonderschone strandjes. Helaas was het snorkelen niets, en ook niet op de snorkeltocht die je vanuit het eiland kunt doen. Veel alg, sterke stroming en alleen maar dood koraal. De eilanden uit de tocht zijn wel schitterend en heel rustig! Je kunt op Contadora zelf nog wat kleine wandelingen maken, deels op asfalt, deels op onverharde wegen. OP het eiland zijn heel veel vervallen onbewoonde gebouwen en hotels, en een groot deel van de kust is prive gebied. Dat is jammer. Leuk voor 3 nachten was het zeker, veel langer hadden wij er ons niet vermaakt. De service van het hotel is goed. Tony haalt je op van de boot (wel mailen van tevoren) en zorgt ook weer dat je bagage er komt. Je kunt het makkelijk lopen van de boot/vliegveld naar het hotel. Ontbijt is super, de schoonmaakster/ontbijtdame spreekt alleen Spaans (voor ons geen probleem) en is heel geinteresseerd. Eiland is gelukkig wat minder vervuild dan de rest van Panama. Toch ook hier veel afval op plekken waar wij het niet willen zien... Kamer is gewoon netjes, niet bijzonder, maar met koelkast en goed werkende airco. W

Cute bed and breakfast

Great bed and breakfast. There are two wonderful beaches within ten minutes of walking, as well as an Italian restaurant that is right around the corner. These two beaches are very quiet, with great snorkeling at one of them. The farthest beach is a 20 minute walk, which happens to be on lovely, quiet streets with lots of nature. The farther beaches have more people and the snorkeling isn't as good as it is at Playa Ejecutiva. The manager picked us up from the ferry and dropped our stuff of on our way back. He was incredibly kind, and even offered us rides throughout our stay, as we didn't rent a golf cart. I highly recommend staying here - it was an amazing vacation, and the rental was perfect!

Horrible Stay, AVOID THIS HOTEL

The experience was TERRIBLE, there were bugs in the bed, HORRIBLE service from the staff (Mr. Antonio), he was always out of the hotel, there was nobody there to give us our second room, there was even a couple waiting at the "Lobby" and they were there for 3 hours, until we told them which was their room, so they could sleep.... This place is NOT recommended AT ALL.

Muy mala experiencia.

La estancia en el hotel fue horrible, en general una experiencia muy desagradable. Habian bichos en la cama, muy mal servicio de parte del Sr. Antonio. Nadie que nos atendiera, inclusive nadie nos entrego la 2da habitación. Ya que el señor estaba aparentemente de rumba, a nosotros nos toco entrar a la habitación que pensabamos seria la nuestra para poder dormir a eso de las 9:30pm.. NO RECOMENDAMOS este hotel. Fue simplemente horrible.

Many rough edges yet to fix

Our room was well equipped in general, with the exception of the shower which didn't work well. The owner is a good guy but he was a tad in the rough end with his people's skills around the house. Breakfast was average. These places usually have some snorkeling equipment for the guests' use, but in this case the snorkels and goggles were deteriorated and dirty, useless.

Desde que llegamos nos recibiĂł Tony muy amablemente,nos llevo al hotel, habitaciones muy cĂłmodas,limpias y atenciĂłn de primera, el desayuno muy bueno, Tony nos explico todo sobre la Isla,en verdad recomiendo el Contadora Island Inn.

Nice cozy casa with helpful owner!

Tony was present at the dock to receive us, which was a nice surprise. He gave us a small tour of island and told the interesting history of the place. He also gave us ride a couple of times to go to beach etc.

B&B senza pretese in una localita' remota

Trattadi di una modesta villetta dove sono state ricavate alcune camere e la colazione e' servita negli spazi comuni. L'isola Contadora e' per un terzo circa dominata da quello che era fino a non molti anni fa un hotel di lusso ora in completo abbandono, sulla spiaggia piu' grande nonche' tra le pochissime accessibili via terra. Gia' questo deve far riflettere per la scelta della destinazione. A parte questo hotel in sfacelo, l'isola conta su pochissime strutture ricettive come quella in oggetto, che e' modesta ma accettabile tenuto conto del contesto. La pulizia e' incontestabile, il resto senza alcun elemento di particolare gradevolezza. La sistemazione e' quindi assolutamente spartana, senza alcun fronzolo, ma le alternatve come detto molto limitate. Va quindi accettata per quello che e' nel contesto descritto. Da tenere presente che il numero di telefono che appare sulla conferma della prenotazione e' in Italia e non sempre all'arrivo e' presente personale in hotel. Sta un po' alla fortuna, il che non e' certamente il massimo, anche data la lontananza dall'aeroporto se non si noleggia un mezzo di trasporto. A me e' andata sfortunatamente cosi'. Non arrivate con delle pretese perche' sarete delusi.
