Avis Atlanta Glamping Tent -Private Lake-Kayak Fishing

Firstly, until I had problems, contact with the owners was timely and appropriate. We got to our site around 8 pm. They had warned that the area outside the tent may not have electricity due to the outside lights being solar. However, the tent was supposed to have electricity to for charging and heat. The lights outside didn’t work and the tent didn’t have power. Next, the property had on their listing a wood stove. There is not a wood stove in the tent. There is a fire ring and a large grill. Surprise, the grill didn’t work. The gasket was missing from the propane to the grill. Nextly, we asked about firewood. They said they supplied it and there was plenty of wood, but it was whole logs that were not chopped and we had to go get an axe. On to the next problem, you can not drive down to the site unless you have a 4X4. And if it has rained, it’s all mud the almost 1/4 mile down to the site. So try to pack lightly. I contacted the owner multiple times with no luck. There is a phone number listed, but they ask that you only use that number in emergency. Please come prepared if you come to this site. The site is beautiful and filled with cute ornaments and decorations, but that does not make up for the missing amenities and lack of communication for owner.

It was honestly an ideal location. Close enough to the interstate to be there in minutes but far enough out to feel alone. Property is exactly as listed. If anything, pictures don't do it justice. The only faces I saw besides my dog and I were the geese who showed up each evening - so be hospitable and bring some grapes or oats.

Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay, everything we needed was already at the campsite. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a nice peaceful place to get away from everything.
