This location is the perfect hideaway just outside of Algood and minutes to Cookeville. Offering privacy, comfort, and convenience. This secluded location puts you back off the main roads with great mountain views giving you the perfect family getaway near lakes, falls and lots of nature.

Cozy 3 bedroom 2 bathroom log home situated on wooded acres (sleeps 6)

If you are looking for a relaxing change of pace to your hectic lifestyle, a last-minute getaway, or a family vacation, come visit the secluded cabin.

Our comfortable cabin rests in a secluded atmosphere outside of Algood on a dead end road. The Cabin is conveniently located close to Cummins Falls, Dale Hollow Lake, Burgess Falls, and the Town of Cookeville.

The cabin's main entrance has an open floor plan, with a living room, kitchen, and dining area. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked with all the necessary cooking utensils to cook a complete meal. Or you may choose to enjoy the porches and cook on the gas/charcoal grill in which the propane is provided during your stay.

The living room has a wood-burning fireplace and firewood is furnished during your stay to keep you warm and cozy during the cooler months. The laundry facilities are conveniently located with a full-size washer and dryer.

The living room, master bedroom and the twin room all have Vizio Tvs which has over 150 free channels or you can use your own streaming services to watch your favorite.

Enjoy the sounds of nature on either the front which is fully covered and are furnished with rocking chairs so you can rock your cares away.

We offer all the conveniences of home including internet, board games, and reading material for your enjoyment.


We are conveniently located to shopping in Cookeville, Algood, and Livingston. You may want to also enjoy exploring the many falls within a short drive away to include Cummins Falls, Burgess Falls, Fall Creek Falls and Rock Island's small shopping area. There are several very good golf courses nearby that are reasonably priced.

Visit Fall Creek Falls State Park and take a look at their gift shop featuring local arts and crafts.

My team is available daily between 7 AM to 10 PM CT to address your questions. For any food deliveries, shipt dot com will deliver them all to you. The maximum sleeping capacity is 6. Guests over 2 years old need to be listed on the reservation. Unlisted guests will be charged $50 per person per night. Standard check-in time is at 3 PM. Early check-in requests are subject to availability. Check-ins before 11 AM will be charged with 50% of the nightly rate. Standard check-out time is at 11 AM. Late check-out requests are subject to availability.

We had unexpected family come in for Christmas this year and were scrambling trying to find a place large enough for our family to celebrate Christmas. We found this gem which was close to home but felt like it was in the mountains.

Nice house in the country
A beautiful property about 10 minutes from Cookeville. The junk cars next door were sketchy, but the deer in the yard every morning and nice vistas made up for that. The only bathroom downstairs is in the master suite, so it's awkward for others to use it if people are in the bedroom. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The slats on one of the twin beds upstairs fell out twice during our stay. The game table upstairs and the dining table downstairs are great. We had trouble with the entry key pad--which had to be reset, and a plumbing issue on day 1 was quickly resolved by maintenance. The kitchen is fairly well-appointed, but for a house that sleeps 6 people, we had to scramble for enough. Plenty of plastic for kids. Margarita glasses and beer mugs were found, but not a single wine glass! More drinking glasses would be nice as well. Another missing item is a notebook with instructions for appliances, the fireplace, restauranrs, shopping in the area. For example, a mile down the Cookeville Hwy towards Livingston is a great little diner.

Very clean cabin, quiet area, quick trip to Cookeville for groceries, restaurants, etc. Too many light switches in cabin - couldn’t figure out which switch went to which light. The pics online show a full, open view if sitting on the front porch. However, there are two giant pine trees in the way. Overall, we enjoyed the cabin. It was clean and had everything we needed.

Not at all happy with this cabin. Would never stay again, such a dissapointment.
Back porch dirty and crappy old patio furniture, screen door screen torn, towels very old and crappy, outside porch area not swept in way too long and covered in leaves, grass was not cut, broken chair on front porch, wasps nest in hot tub when I lifted the cover, no real lights in the living room, I had to buy a new spoon and cutting board cause the ones in the cabin were so old and dirty. Go stay somewhere else, is my suggestion.

Property was very clean and the description was spot on. The house was very comfortable in a great setting. It has all of the amenities you could think of, the beds were very comfortable and what a walk in closet. The only two disappointments were the hot tub did not work and the grill was very small. Aside from that it was a wonderful weekend and we will be going back.

Place was nice, clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Our group loves lots of coffee in the morning, so the 5cup maker was really the only negative thing. It was very quiet, had some deer visit, and could hear coyotes in the distance. Sitting on the large porch visiting in the evening was great. The weather we had provided bug free evenings. There was nobody around to bother us, or for us to bother. Would highly recommend staying here.

Quiet reserve for introverts/German shepherd
Great tucked away property where dog can run around care free! The screened in back porch had firewood for my family and I to have a fire. My silly German shepherd was zooming! There’s a fence that blocks off the distant housing. We saw deer in the morning both days we stayed. We felt alone there besides the nature, the only reminder that there are others nearby is when you leave. The instructions for check in and out were easy and reasonable. Also any questions/ concerns were promptly addressed in a professional manner by Steven.

Weird Communication
Well, overall this place was nice but communication was poor. It didn’t help that the fridge was only cooling to 60 degrees. We got there on Sunday but didn’t realize the fridge issue till Monday. We reported it and they told us that the cleaning crew reported it. The reason we stayed here was for the kitchen and fridge so we could make meals for our 1 year old daughter. Fridge didn’t get fixed till Tuesday late afternoon. Our stay was only till Thursday morning. Also, they sent an email at 3:30 am on the day we checked out listing all the things to do at the property. They told us to take the trash out, but there was no where outside to put it. Animals would get in to it if we listened to them. Also, we pulled out at 6 am and who checks there emails that early? Some don’t…. Listing was accurate but emails from Stevens reality come from spam like email. Looks very fake and no signature line or anything showing it’s a real company.
