Wonderful Weekend

My friend and I stayed at Up The Creek Cottage as our HQ for our weekend fly-fishing trip. It was conveniently located. The cottage was cozy and warm with all of the nice amenities. The decor was a perfectly matched theme for our weekend getaway. We really enjoyed the area and the proximity to The Stockyard Grill and Saloon. Mingling with the local folk while tossing back a few Wisconsin brews and eating a delicious meal there was a highlight of the trip.

Terrific place to stay!

Unreasonable expectations
Publié le 18 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayPlace in a very odd location- just off the main road and attached to a bar/ restaurant. No kitchen area so you either have to eat out or bring your own food. There isn’t many places to get food nearby.
Host was incredibly rude. Expects you to be the housekeeper/ cleaning staff before you leave or she’ll leave you a negative review. Won’t be staying here again.

As we state in our listing, yes, we are located next to a bar & grill and we do not have a kitchen. That is listed under the property amenities and clearly shown in the pictures.
As for our house rules, we only ask that guests remove all bedding that was used during the stay & put in the hamper basket. The rental was left in poor condition with trash all over and soiled bed sheets after your stay, which was the result in the negative review.

We used the washer and dryer once during our stay, so convenient to have access to them.
I enjoyed the hunting cabin decor, nicely done.
The entry is a step up and down. Someone prone to falls would need to be careful.
The refrigerator/ freezer is mostly refrigerator.
The beds are excellent.
