The space
The Byre at Telegraph Retreat Cottages, suits a couple seeking a romantic escape, in the Port Macquarie hinterland - modern and charming with all the luxuries of a premium hotel stay.
Our king size, four poster bed provides the ultimate space for you and your partner, we have spared no expense when it comes to your comfort. One child can be accommodated on a trundle bed, and one infant in a portable cot.

Cook for yourself in the well appointed kitchen or take a swift 15 minute drive to Port Macquarie to experience our food culture, with an abundance of restaurants and cafes to choose from.
If you decide to wander from your cottage and explore the local area, you will be relieved to return to relax by the fireplace, or in air-conditioned comfort during summer, and soak in the large, freestanding bathtub with a glass of locally produced wine.

Outdoor enthusiasts - cook up a feast on the Weber Baby Q on your back deck, stargaze around the outdoor fire pit, and finish off your evening in the spa, to warm up in winter and cool off in summer.
The cottage is well equipped, providing a selection of tea, coffee (with capsule machine) and basic pantry items, games, magazines, books, DVD's and player, a Telstra box and free wifi, everything to keep your mind from wandering back to work or everyday life!

A complimentary breakfast hamper is provided for the first morning of your stay. We also offer BBQ packs, picnic hampers and cheese platters for two (options for a family available), you cook and serve yourself in house, please contact for prices and information.

You share this beautiful rural retreat with the kangaroos, kookaburras and wallabies and our resident farm animals, you are welcome to wander the property at your leisure or we do provide an up close and personal meet and greet with our friendly goats, chickens and geese!
Edit
The Byer and our other cottages are all standalone buildings, set over 9 acres and are all private from each other and our residence. Interaction between guests and hosts is not necessary if preferred, we are on site (most of the time) to assist with any issues or if you are wanting a farmstay experience.

Other things to note
We ensure our cottages are cleaned and sanitised, meeting the requirements of Airbnb's enhanced cleaning protocol. We are committed to providing a healthy environment for you and your family. Our cleaning policy ensures our guests maintain our cottages and furnishings during their stay and on departure, leave the cottage in a clean and tidy state, as outlined in our policies and rules and guest information.
