The location is on a busy road with limited access to the beach. We were wakened by scratching noises of rodents in the walls in the early morning. Also, when water was used in other parts of the building it created a gurgling drip drip drip noise in the wash basin right next to the bed. Also, the extra blanket we found (because it was cold) had unpleasant soiled spots suggesting it had not been cleaned. I would not recommend this hotel.

This is certainly not the experience we strive for at Cobblescote on the Lake. We are located on State Highway 80, however our beach access is only limited by your desire to access it. Our private beach is a short walk down our driveway and down a newly constructed set of stairs. We also pay an exterminator to prevent unwanted guests, I have reached out with your complaint noted. Many of our guests appreciate the added vanity sink within their room, finding advantages to such a feature. Each of our rooms is equipped with their own Mitsubishi climate control units, your room should not have been cold unless you chose not to use it. Cobblescote will continue to work diligently to provide our guests with accommodations that add to their Cooperstown experience.

Great out of the way place to stay when visiting Cooperstown. Staff/owners very friendly and accommodating. Room very larger and nice in historic p;d building. Highly recommended.

The Cobblescote has a wonderful manager, Guenavive, a lovely porch and view. The only opportunity was to update the bedding and mattresses, they were hard and very old. New pillows and comforter with a simple foam mattress insert would have made the sleeping much better and complete a wonderful stay.
