Copenhagen hosueboat

Publié le 18 mai 2018 sur Expedia
This was a good place to stay but we had some issues. The BBQ and TV that were mentioned in the website were not on the boat. There were many old leaves all over the outside of the ship which should have been cleaned up. The front of the boat had a lot of rusty and paint peeling places where you had to walk. The outside chairs are not what is shown but the are wooden chairs not in the best of shape. 2 bedrooms are nice the other 2 are small with dirty mattresses. The boat always leaned on way. There was no way of not having other people walk onto the boat. We did come up with a solution but there should have been one already in place. We are assuming the holding tank was full since the toilet was not working properly. I guess are major concern was that we didn’t see the owner the whole two days we were there. We did see his wife(?) for a few minutes. We were not told a lot about the ship and the features it had (heating, alarm system). This also created a problem since he wasn’t paid and I had to do extra running around at home trying to pay him instead of him stopping by the boat but it was a houseboat in Copenhagen

Copenhagen houseboat - familietur-tre generasjoner

Add something special to your days in Copenhagen

Instead of a hotel, staying on a private houseboat in such a great central location will make a visit to the city unique. The boat is very comfortable and safe with plenty of room for a group of friends or a family. I had the whole boat to myself and loved relaxing there, and a couple looking for romance will also enjoy it. The kitchen is excellent but also try the nearby No. 2 restaurant for an great New Danish cuisine meal. Plenty of bakeries and a supermarket nearby. Convenient for public transportation, including back and forth to the airport. The service for getting settled was excellent, as was the housekeeping. So long as you can live without the daily services in a hotel, I recommend you try this for something different and wonderful.

Nice but expensive. Our short stay did not allow us to take advantage of the facilities. Unfortunately no clothes washing machine.

Plenty of Room for Larger Families

Publié le 17 juin 2015 sur Hotels
Words cannot express how wonderful our experience was on the Copenhagen Houseboat! We were a group of 4 adults (2 couples and 2 singles) and 1 child (11 years old), so each of us had our own room. Traveling in Europe with such a large group can be challenging, but the houseboat provided more than enough room for all of us to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The outdoor living was as spectacular as the spacious indoor living, as there are two decks with chairs and tables. We had planned a day trip during our stay, but we ended up cancelling the trip in order to spend more time enjoying the houseboat and city. We spent a lot of our time playing games, reading books, telling stories, and watching boats on the large deck. The owner of the boat is extremely friendly and helpful. He even helped us find a bookstore nearby for shopping. The location is ideal for most Copenhagen activities, as it is only a 10-15 minute walk from Tivoli park and the main train station. The boat was very clean inside and the kitchen is amazingly well equipped. We lacked for nothing as far as kitchen utensils go. There is a USA-sized (large) refrigerator, full-size dishwasher, and coffee/espresso maker. There were even spices, sugar, etc. available so we didn't have to shop for those small items while we were there. Having this excellent kitchen goes a long way in Copenhagen where restaurants can be prohibitively expensive.

A unique way to enjoy a beautiful city

Publié le 9 juin 2015 sur Expedia
Pour : Almost everything. There were six of us and there was plenty of room, and we enjoyed the large kitchen and dining area.
Contre : Loud music from the restaurant next door made sleeping difficult for the couple on the upper deck of the houseboat, the rest of us slept well.
Emplacement : The location was within walking distance to the core, and it was a pleasant walk along the waters edge to a grocery store and restaurants.
We loved the house boat. While we were unlucky with the weather we did get to experience Copenhagen from a unique vantage point.

Heel origineel verblijf. Prima locatie.

Pour : Alles
Zeer centrale locatie in Kopenhagen. Origineel concept. Heel geschikt voor (grote) families en groepen die het niet erg vinden een badkamer te moeten delen. Zeer aardige en behulpzame verhuurder. Direct een fiets huren voor de dagen van verblijf.
