the cabin stunk. Smelled like there was a fire in the room. I do understand about a fireplace but this was really unacceptable. This was not our first time staying in one of the cabins, we were there 20 years ago and we did not have this problem. This was our 50th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY and we were disappointed. Also the evening dining was less than memorable. not a fan of buffets.

The lodge itself was pretty cool. We were not impressed by any of the food. All meals were cold. Others there have said lodge is going down hill from the past.

This was our second visit. Due to circumstances I couldn’t control we were later than planned getting to the area. I was exhausted and didn’t feel safe driving up to the Resort. However, when I called (via Expedia) to try to cancel and obtain a refund, I was reminded that their policy required cancellations by midnight the night before. I couldn’t afford to lose the money and drove on when I probably shouldn’t have. I understand hard lines must be drawn but there is also a place for compassion in business. I gave the review 4 stars because when we were there previously it was beautiful. Probably won’t ever return.

Short but enjoyable visit,
Lovely location with stunning vistas readily available all around. Rooms were sufficient, with bath a little cozier than we prefer. Food was excellent and the included breakfast was delish! Check-in/out was easy and staff was great!
