Great place to vacation!

Great Week!
Publié le 1 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a great week. The location of the home, its proximity to the beach, the size and configuration of the home all were wonderful. We spent time at the beach, in the pool and enjoying time together as a family. We would recommend staying here.
Our only thought is that it is time for the home to be updated. It could use some new flooring and a general refresh compared to other homes in the area.

Beautiful home with lots of room
Publié le 8 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwaythe home was nice and clean, third floor has ocean view and the pool and hot tub was amazing. the only thing that we did not enjoy are the neighbors they look over a lot and second night there they threw a crab in the pool, so watch for them. also the elevator was not working which would have helped a lot with groceries in a 3 story home w kitchen at the top. other than that beautiful home with the ocean a few feet away definitely recommend!!

Looks are deceiving…Do NOT recommend

I couldn’t even get an answer to my questions regarding the property BEFORE I booked, but this was one of the last houses available for my dates, (now i know why) for my grandmas birthday so I went ahead and booked anyway….Non refundable, no payment plans, and when we had issues (which will be provided below), no resolution came at all. We will not be renting this house again - unless it’s free lol. I couldn’t fit my entire review in the box but there’s more…
1. Cleanliness
- Gross!!
- Dirty linens in bags in the front yard, dirty linens on a few beds, dirty oven gloves & hand towels, dirty rugs, nobody swept under the couches or beds in who knows how long, dirty oven, dirty high chair, dirty ceiling fans.
2. Location
- It is not oceanfront. It is ocean view with a LONG steep deck, but there are two houses behind us that are the oceanfront.
- The neighborhood is so quiet and nice.
3. Broken Items Inside House
- The kitchen sink faucet
- One of the freezers
- The bathroom in master bedroom upstairs had a railing in the tub that was broken in half leaving pipe exposed.
- Multiple shower heads in the house were loose and sprayed the ceiling while on.
- Bedroom doors would not close completely.
- Vacasa had a repair guy come out the second day, but he told us it would take him hours to fix everything so he didn’t fix anything.…

Christmas with the family
Publié le 28 déc. 2022 sur HomeAwayThis was a typical rental property which was owned by a group or person for the specific purpose of renting it as an investment. (This is my opinion) First of all, when I have rented before from VRBO the host was always the owner with who you could communicate with. With this property the host was Vacasa, another agency that sees after these properties and manages them for the true owner. This I do not like because it inserts another level of hosts. The property was generally clean, but the floors had never been vacuumed or swept and there was even Crums on the table. Furnishings were adequate but sparce and the floors were in dire need to be cleaned and refinished. We chose this one this year because it had an elevator. This is very necessary for us with a disabled person and greatly appreciated when the kitchen and main socializing space is on the 3rd floor. Carrying groceries and heavy luggage up is a real chore. All in all, it was adequate, and we all had a great Christmas get together. It was so much different from what we rented last year in Duck though that gave us a little disappointment. Last year our host was the owner and not a property management firm. It was equipped with everything you could possibly need and never have to run to the store to buy essentials. We were even greeted with a wine and popcorn welcome gift. We would have gone back there had it been equipped with and elevator.To VRBO--It was very confusing to rent this year. I started out renting and paying my deposit to you and also taking out the insurance from you. Then I suddenly found out that I was handed over the Vacasa who wanted the balance of the payment and kept insisting that I did not have any insurance. If I rent from you again, I only will deal with you and the host will be the owner NOT another managment firm.
