Friendly staff, clean bed but old hotel and room

Publié le 8 mai 2019 sur Hotels
A little bit expensive considering that the room and the hotel generally speaking are old. Toilet was broken, shower has very low pressure... The room and bathroom are not very confortable (nothing to hang clothes). We were not alone in the room (cockroach). Free breakfast was not fantastic (omelet and bread, no coffee !). However the room is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is located outside the noisy area but still not far from restaurants, bars, tour agences, shops, etc.

Pourquoi pas au bon prix!!!

Mon séjour a été assombri par le prix "promotionnel" payé via votre site, soit 17E alors que sur place 1 chambre pour 1 nuit = 10E...

avoid this place and save yourself the grief

Publié le 5 déc. 2019 sur Hotels
this place is a dump, i have traveled to some back water villages that had better accommodations. the windows are broken, there is no screening on the windows. the linen are thread bare and dirty. The night table has not been wiped down and full of dust. the bathroom, is a hazard waiting to happen, the electric water heater with the plug in is right beside the shower head. There was no toilet seat on the toilet. They masked the odors of the room with a car air fresher attached to the air conditioner. The only shining spot was the over night staff was not informed to arrange transport to the ferry terminal early in the morning and scrambled to arrange one of his buddies to double and himself to bring us to the terminal. the photos in the posting are out of date and very deceptive.

Ok but would not stay again

Publié le 21 mai 2017 sur Hotels
The bathroom was mouldy, and the toilet did not flush. When we told the staff they took me to a tiny dirty room downstairs with no light and bugs in to use that toilet instead. The room itself was big and clean, and the location was good right next to the viewpoint. We went on tour B and had a great day of island hopping. The staff were lovely but the bathroom and general standard would mean i would not stay again

Not bad, but not nice.

Publié le 14 mars 2017 sur Hotels
Room was pretty clean besides ants crawling on the walls. They didn't seem to bother us though. Bathrooms were a bit rough however. Location was great. You can walk to almost everything and don't need to take a trike. Maybe farthest is a 15 min walk. Our room was on the lower level and had a bit if a mildew smell when we got back one evening. That night we ended up with some sinus congestion and reported it the next morning before leaving. When we returned that evening they had kindly switched us into a new room and had moved our luggage over. Staff was very kind and friendly. Happy to help answer any questions and even help set up events and arrange trips and tours of island hopping or shuttle vans, scuba, etc. Breakfast was tasty and had a variety to choose from. Just make sure you order the day before.

Good hotel especially if you're on a budget

Publié le 3 mars 2017 sur Expedia
Pour : The staff are really nice and the neighbors too (little kids). We like that we can hang out on those bamboo tables outside, very island like.
Contre : The issues we've had with our room -- the sheets, the falling sink, the dripping from the ceiling.
Emplacement : It's by Tapyas Road, close to the entrance for the Mt. Tapyas hike. Less than a minute away from National Highway, the heart of the town.
This has what we needed, nothing fancy. We don't recommend this to older customers or people with heart conditions as its location needs a little climb. The hotel company has a lot of resources which were very helpful -- massage, restaurants, tour packages, hotel shuttle service. The breakfast isn't free however you have complimentary coffee and tea. Overall, it was okay, just that we didn't like that the sheets don't fit the mattress and you wake up lying on a dirty bed that people have been sleeping on for ages. We also had to work on our bathroom sink that is almost falling apart and we noticed some dripping from the ceiling. WiFi is faulty, only works in the lobby because it wasn't reaching our room. Bottomline, you get what you pay for. If you're in for an adventure in Coron, this one is for you; but if you wanna maximize your comfort, then it's not.

Comfortable rooms at an affordable price

Publié le 18 févr. 2017 sur Hotels
K-Heights Inn is located up the hill, just a few steps away from the start of the stairs that lead up to the top of Mt. Tapyas. The room I stayed in was very spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff here is super friendly and helpful, so I ended up chatting with just about all of the staff members. They serve breakfast and depending on what you booked, it may or may not be included in your room rate. In any case, if you do want breakfast, you just have to let them know the night before so that it will be ready for you in the morning, at the time you requested. Their restaurant K-Grill is not on site, but they have the menu at the front desk. You can order lunch or dinner, and they will deliver it to you so you can eat it in the dining room (where they serve breakfast). Their food is delicious! There’s free coffee & tea all day, as well as filtered water. Though I didn’t book any tours directly with them, they do offer them at a reasonable price. For the price, this place is great value. Overall, I really enjoyed my 5-night stay at K-Heights and would stay here again when I come back to Coron.
