The room was clean, the front desk clerk was extremely sweet. The hotel was a great stay for the price. The was a lot of flooding down the driveway and if I was in a small car, I probably wouldn't have been able to drive out without damages. Luckily I drive an SUV though. It's an older property but well maintained and kept. When I arrived I had to pay an extra fee that expedia apparently doesn't charge when they should. Just take that into consideration when booking through Expedia or booking. The hotel is right by the water, I was the for work so didn't get to enjoy it, but loved the view.

Arrived and the room obviously was hot. It took about three hours to cool down the remote turn not working. The pictures. They advertise are fake. Ugly smell to the rooms after the room finally got cold when we got back. The toilet was still running water so they moved us to another room very hot, same smell everything. The showers do not have cold water

My little family and I had a wonderful stay!! DO NOT LET THE BAD REVIEWS FOOL YOU. My family and I were looking for a nice comfortable affordable place to stay by the beach and we got just that. It is an older place that is VERY well taken care of. The receptionist did mention that there is a $20 cash deposit at check in but it’s not listed on the site. Wonderful lady by the way she was so polite and made me feel like family! The price is perfect for the stay it’s a cozy room that’s very clean and the ac will freeze you out of your bed to turn it down! There is a new park that was built literally a couple hundred feet away that has bbq pits and outdoor showers for after the beach! So convenient! Like I said it’s not a brand new hotel like Marriott or Hilton but it was very clean and cozy and affordable! Will most definitely be returning in the future!

The only OYO I’d stay at
This is probably the only OYO hotel I’d recommend staying at. The lady running it is amazing, the company really isn’t. She is always available if you need something and is extremely helpful. She gets to know frequent visitors and takes effort to take care of them.

If you are on a budget…
The proprietor of the property was absolutely wonderful! We spoke everyday of my 4 night stay. She even loaned me an umbrella because of all the rain during my stay and I had a day without a rental car. The property IS an older property…and the area is a little lackluster…but the room was very clean, the bedding smelled like it had just been laundered that morning, the bed was comfortable. Downsides…the beach was a little dirty, a lot of trash but there were storms every single day I was there which could account for this…and there did seem to be quite a number of homeless people in the area. Pros, the aquarium, whataburger, the battleship, and a few souvenir shops were well within walking distance if needed. overall good experience for a budget friendly experience

For the price, it was a good stay. Ms Debra, who attended the place, was very kind and bent over backwards to help in any manner she could. Again, it's not the Omni nor the Marriott, but for the price and spur of the moment trip, it was okay.
