Beautiful, clean, and relaxing!
We loved that this cabin was outside of town located next to the property owners for safety. The owners were such a joy to meet! The cabin was decorated so nicely, clean, and had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the back porch watching the humming birds and beautiful scenery!

Peaceful private getaway
Small cozy cabin with a great view of the lake. We had everything we needed including a nice kitchen to cook meals and a cozy firepit at night. The hosts were tremendously helpful and accomodating. They even shared some fresh veggies from their garden

Wonderful little cabin
This cute little cabin was our first stop while on our way to Salt Lake City, and it was perfect! We stopped in Dolores to ride a specific trail out of Rico on our dirtbikes, and the cabin was very private making us feel very secure with all of our gear laying out! It was a short stay for us but it was lovely.

Comfy Cabin-Amazing Hosts
This was the perfect little cabin for us and the hosts were so nice! We were visiting our son in Dolores and Wendy and Paul have a spot that is like home away from home, which made it so nice to be able to have some great family time with our son. The outdoor seating area was perfect for evening gathering and enjoying the gorgeous sunsets!! Highly, highly recommend!!

Cozy, relaxing and charming cottage
This was our 2nd stay and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. No pretentions, just what we expected for a cottage on the reservoir in the country. We had everything we needed to make lovely meals. The cottage is close to several hiking areas and ruins. Super host and hostess that are available when needed.

Great view!
Went for a small weekend trip for my 12 year anniversary and my Daughters 3rd bday. Place was clean, warm and fully stocked. Easy to access and not to far from the city. We woke up with the most beautiful fluffy snow out the large windows. It's was the best.

Peaceful, lovely cabin
Our hosts were the best. Bed was really comfortable, kitchen fully stocked and views were terrific. There is ac on the property although the description does not state this. I must add the ac works well. The location is tranquil and the photos on line are exactly how the cabin looks. It is decorated delightfully. The local grocery store is convenient to the cabin and has all sorts of great local and organic fruits and vegetables.

The cabin and property are just beautiful especially because the owners put so much work into creating it all. They were incredibly sweet and we felt right at home. So much fun to be had on the property and right in the area.

Cute, rustic cabin
This property was perfect for my husband and I. Plenty of room for the two of us and the outdoors space is fabulous. The only negative was there is no dishwasher. It may have been mentioned in the ad. Since it was just the two of us washing the dishes wasn’t too bad but a dishwasher would be nice and possibly a washer and dryer for extended stays. We had a thunderstorm that knocked out the dish and could not be fixed during our stay. All in all a great property. The property manager is on site and responds very promptly.

Awesome!
My daughter and I loved staying at Wendy's cabin. We stayed here because it was close to Mesa Verde and then we were supposed to spend the second day in Durango, but rain forced a change of plans and we headed 1 hr and 45 minutes to Arches National Park and had an awesome day there. The cabin was clean, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The view of the lake was beautiful due to the recent rain, it looked as if the lake was completely full. After each long day hiking, we returned to the cabin to sit outside look at the lake, and watch the many humming birds. There was a gas grill at the cabin and a fire pit, but we didn't use them. Wendy made us feel welcome and was extremely easy to deal with. Even though Wendy's house was next door, we still had privacy. I didn't think the clean up was too much to ask. Take out the trash, strip the bed and put the used towels in a pile. We would highly recommend this tiny cabin for a party of two.

The hosts built this separate cottage on their lovely property. it has everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We took day trips to various parks and monuments. The reservoir view, the sunsets, grilling out on the deck all contributed to the peaceful and comfortable stay. Highly recommend the property!

Woonderful Stay at Lake Cabin
We loved this property. It is located on 35 acres and feels like you are staying in a national park. The view is gorgeous and the cabin is spotlessly clean. The cabin is well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners were friendly and accessible but allowed us plenty of privacy. Communication was quick and easy. They allowed us to park our trailer on their property and recommended a wonderful Mexican restaurant in town. Flawless experience.

Nice area of the country
The lake the cabin looks over is a mud puddle due to drought conditions. This is no fault of the owner but disclosing this information might have changed our minds about staying there. McPhea reservoir is close by and beautiful. There were fresh eggs in the refrigerator from the chickens on the property which was a nice touch and appreciated. The owner's house is right next to the cabin so the cabin did not feel private but the cabin was very clean and cozy. The cleanup to-do list was a bit much considering the price per night to rent this property.

Quiet and relaxing location
The property was beautiful and very relaxing and had good access to Mesa Verde and other locations near by. We were a little disappointed that we could not use the lake/water. It’s advertised as a lake house and that we could just walk to the water to swim and play, which was the primary reason we picked the location. This was not the case as the water is almost empty and can not be used due to the drought, which we didn’t learn until we arrived. We’d love to come back sometime when the lake can be used.

wonderful place to stay
This is a relaxing, quiet, charming, little house with a front porch, a back patio, and a deck, that looks out over the (now shrinking unfortunately) reservoir. Everything was wonderful, and the location is good. From here it is easy to drive to Mesa Verde, Hovenweep, and Canyons of the Ancients.

Somwhat disappointing
That picture of the lake next to the cabin: bogus. Drought has reduced it to a puddle half a mile away. The owner is not responsible for that. She is responsible for the picture. A single comfortable chair inside, because there is no room for a second. Not so good for two people. Watch TV from bed. Again, uncomfortable. It's a nice setting with comfortable outdoor seating, but overall not sweet enough to justify the price.
