Accueil chaleureux et reposant
Publié le 6 juill. 2017 sur HomeAwayTrès bon accueil de Kate et Fiona. On se sent tout de suite comme chez soi. Cottage assez confortable et tout ce qu'il faut pour passer quelques jours de vacances. Assez bien situé et assez central pour les visites comme Galway, Dingle, Cork ou le Conemara. Nous recommandons!

Great stay at the "Druid Cottage"

The cottage is super cozy and has everything you need. The communication with Steph was perfect all the time and she was always helpful. The cottage is a bit far off in the nature so you'd definitely want to have a car for your stay. It's a 1- 1 and 1/2 hour drive to different touristic places like Cliffs of Mother, Spanish Point etc but I would recommend everyone to visit the cliffs of Kilkee, because it is much more beautiful and not that crowded. All in all a wonderful cottage with a wonderful host.

Quick trip to the west

Our guests enjoy the well equipped kitchen for preparing their own choice of food while relaxing in the cozy cottage after a day of visiting the many sights. There is also a renowned Pub/restaurant nearby along with 3 Take Aways, many more restaurants in the two larger towns of Gort/Ennis and wonderful Seafood restaurants on the coast. Perhaps a city or beach resort would suit those wishing to eat out everynight of a 10 night stay and it is advisable that the Solo traveler, research their type of holiday before travelling so far away from home......

Lovely and charming little cottage
Publié le 27 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayLove it ! Very quiet, clean and peaceful place in the middle of the country, beautifully decorated. Everything we needed was there. The flowers in front of the cottage are beautiful and it was very pleasant to eat outside when the weather allowed it! The host, Stephanie is very nice, kind and caring. She helped us with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay there.

From the lovely interior to the stunning gardens this was a delightful stop. Suzanne is an excellent host with a great knowledge of the area. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or just a place to unwind and relax--this is it!

A Little Gem
Publié le 2 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis little cottage is within easy distance for day trips to many towns and attractions. It retains an old world charm while providing everything needed for a comfortable stay.
As an older couple, we were unable to make use of the bedroom area but we used the bed settee, leaving it made up throughout our stay, and still had plenty of room.
The single track roads in the area take a bit of getting used to but are easily negotiated with a bit of patience.
Stephanie, the host, was very friendly and informative about the area, offering suggestions of suitable places to visit. Thank you for helping make our visit so enjoyable!

I'm happy that you had a relaxing time at the cottage. It's so nice to rest between excursions by the wood burning stove and enjoy short walks along the lanes. It's May and the wild flowers are about!

Slice of heaven
Publié le 15 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWas like a delightful step back in time. Peaceful! Loved the countryside. Local cows became friends. Learned about using turf in stove. We loved it! Very easy to start! Stephanie was wonderful and made some reservations for us as well as providing turf for our first night when stores were closed. Lovely village!
