Fun in Athens
Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe very much enjoyed our time spent at Eagles Nest playing pickleball, ping pong, time at the pool and using the various boating equipment. Just beware as you may encounter a water snake or 2 but they are timid and we continued enjoying the dock activities such as fishing, kayaking, paddleboating or just laying on the floating mat. The kitchen and laundry room were extremely well appointed as was each bedroom with it's own tv. The lake is also an extremely quiet body of water. The one slight drawback was all the decking which I suspect will be receiving a makeover as the stain/deck paint was peeling and there were several rotted areas. Alex and Brian also provide you with an abundance of information such as where to dine out, what to see and where to go for very short trips in the surrounding area. Very highly recommended.

Great location and activities

Only negative was that the basement needed to have been cleaned much more before our arrival than it was. That can easily be remedied though, so we would definitely come back to this location!

Lake Vaca

Perfect lakefront stay!

The home was very dirty, to to be cleaning the first hour on my vacation was unacceptable!

Unfortunately this guest had never used VRBO before and did not understand how to use the platform. VRBO automatically releases the address of the property 30 days prior to a guests stay. For the safety and security of all our guests, we do not provide the door code until 2 days prior to check in. Amy never reached out about this concern. If she did, we would have been able to explain this. Regarding cleanliness, the house is professionally cleaned and then inspected prior to every guest stay. We have only 5 star reviews from other guests on this and other rental platforms and pride ourselves on going above and beyond. For example, when Amy messaged us during her stay asking how she could watch the Mets baseball game, we immediately purchased a streaming service that allowed her to watch the game that evening. We strive to provide a 5 star experience and we feel this guest’s review is not an accurate reflection of our property.
