A beautiful historic hotel. Front counter staff were friendly and kind. The place is great except for the fact that there's no elevator. It's no big deal if your young and/or fit, but if not there's about 20 stairs to climb so be warned. Pack lightly. Otherwise the location is very central with restaurants, pubs and shopping within easy walking distance.

The manager Jim was very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant was very good both food and service. The location was easily walkable in the downtown area.

Great location!
Great location near restaurants, grocery store, and fuel! It was an excellent first stop on our trip and I would stay there again. We didn't spend much time in the room as we were only there for 1 night but it was very well set up and I was impressed by the use of space and the kitchenette. My only caution for others would be the narrow staircase.

Great basic lodging. It is a restored hotel so it has a mix of new and old. Our room 223 had an old inoperative whirlpool tub that was quite dangerous and difficult for a person to get in and out of. Front desk staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Parking is off site but no father away the being at a big chain hotel.

The Baker Hotel is very nice and modern. I have now stayed there twice, and will again. Cranbrook downtown is not that great, and there aren't a lot of good restaurants nearby, or even in Cranbrook. There is a great used book store only a few doors away. Don't stay at the Baker if you can't carry luggage up a flight or two of stairs

The Baker Hotel was awesome and Jim at the front desk was a gem! So helpful and kind! Gave us lots of ideas and suggestions for places to go and eat. The entire staff was exceptional! Will definitely stay here again, great place to stay and explore the nearby areas, hot springs, lakes and towns. However, Cranbrook literally shuts down for Labor Day so very limited places to eat but thankfully Jim alerted us to this so we had a plan.
