Excellent food and service. Great base for a weekend in Hereford and Shropshire

Publié le 24 juill. 2024 sur HotelsThe only room left was a small double but it was perfectly adequate for 2 people for one night. The room is tastefully decorated with a large bathroom with a shower over the bath. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well.
The evening meal was excellent which we took out on the terrace overlooking the river and meadows.
The breakfast was very good too although the smoked haddock was not available.
Overall, a wonderful place to stay with good food and great service in an idyllic part of the world. This wasn't my first time staying here and hopefully it won't be the last.

Country location,very old property next to river ,very pretty and immaculately kept.Charming staff happy to do a snack after our late check in.Came for a funeral but would happily return just to visit as mid Wales has so much charm .
Highly recommend this as a base.

Nice night at the Lion
Publié le 16 mai 2024 sur HotelsThe Lion is in a lovely location, and has been renovated to a really high standard while keeping the features of the old coaching Inn it obviously was. The staff were really nice the food good and we had a very pleasant stay with them.
