Hurricane evacuation to peaceful paradise
Publié le 22 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had to evacuate from our coastline central Florida home, facing a Cat 4 hurricane. We found the retreat here and it was heaven. The home was clean and comfortable. The yard and grounds were so enjoyable. We asked to meet our host, Carolyn because she was so gracious and kind. The stay became more a “vacation “, rather than a nerve wrecking event. We can’t wait to go back and stay longer and enjoy more of the area! The home is also well equipped with many of your needs.

We thank you for coming back. Always special to share our Retreat. Last time I was down at the property, a beautiful deer just stood in the yard and watched me. Of course, before I got my camera ready, she bounded away. The property is wooded around the Retreat and the animals feel safe and don't mind us seeing them. A little spot of God's creation.

Peace in the woods
Publié le 27 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayMs Carolyn and Floyd were great hosts and coordination from them was great ! The place was nice and clean ! Peaceful, woodsy andsecluded , has neighbors in the distance! The hosts checked on us for arrival and we spoke to them on departure, friendly and just good folks ! We will definitely book with them again !
P.S. the fur babies also loved the fenced back yard and bbq area !

Lovely weekend getaway

We were able spread out, bar b que, and relax. Appointed with everything we needed. I highly recommend this for a home base for school events or just a nice getaway.

5 acres of peace and quiet

During the 15 years that we have vacationed in Florida, we have never had a host that did as much as Carolyn. The property is clean and well cared for and offers a Tremendous amount of peace and quiet and so close to Tallahassee. The home is a little small for the number of people that it would accommodate. The property is adjacent to the Tallahassee Saint Marks, bike trail and offers great biking opportunities.
