Our stay at Beacheside Inn went well.
Overall the rooms were clean, modern, and freshly painted. Good to note there is limited hanging space if that’s something you need. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room key got buried in a bag on the very first night, ugh, and we couldn’t find it so we called the front desk and they quickly brought us a spare keycard directly to the room. (Of course the key was found while packing up and returned)
A few downsides for our stay, we traveled with kids and they do not offer adjoining rooms, though they did accommodate us to be door to door which was greatly appreciated. Sadly for one of our rooms we had a dirty floor towel that had shoe prints on it, a dirty shower curtain and a really noisy a/c unit. Also the pictures don’t reflect that you are on the corner of busy streets in the older downtown area of the city with a bus stop and city park directly across the street which causes a bit of an unsafe feeling during your stay especially if traveling with children.
Bonus tip… if you get the chance, visiting Norris family kitchen is a must. It has amazing food (the smash burgers are incredible) staff, and it’s close by.
