Posted Jun. 24, 2024 on HotelsOur first visit as we were visiting a hi-fi show nearby, the new landlord had recently taken over and was in the process of making the hotel great again, he said it's been run down a little and they wanted to bring it back up. They did seem a little short staffed but other than that I cannot complain at all the food was good the beer was good the place itself was good the only downside is a noisy peacock in next doors garden!!

Room was big and spacious. Initially looked cleaned but on closer inspection the shower was mouldy and the metal hanging unit in the shower was rusted. We had no hot water.
Staff were friendly and menu was good. Great location.
