Publié le 23 août 2022 sur HotelsNe pas se fier au nom… l’hôtel ne fait en aucun cas partie de la chaîne… nous avons séjourné dans une cabane sans aucun charme, aucune déco, une baignoire avec rideau de douche ! La nuit les souris dans les murs nous ont réveillé… il faut sérieusement penser à rénover, le fait que les Beatles aient dormi là il y a 60 ans n’apporte rien !!!

Excellent accueil, atmosphère familiale
Publié le 4 oct. 2017 sur HotelsÀ notre arrivée on nous a avisés qu’on avait pu nous upgrader à une plus grande chambre avec vue sur le lac. Nous avons soupé au bistro et pris le petit-déjeuner au restaurant le lendemain. Les repas étaient tous deux excellents.

Lovely hotel and host, only marked down as the restaurant wasn't open for the days I was staying. Location is idyllic and Susan was very helpful in recommending a local walk and other activities. I will be back!

The chalet we stayed in smelled of mold/mildew from water seaping into cloets from exterior. The metal heated towel rack across from water closet was way to hot, I checked it with a battery operated thermometer that I always carry after I burned my hand on it. The sink with seperate hot and cold faucet handles is outdated and the only way to mix the hot and cold was to fill the sick, otherwise you had hot scalding water or very cold water.Steps to chalet were different heights making them unsafe and small pieces of gravel on them. Limited eating hours and extremely overpriced.

Thank you for your feedback.None of our chalets have leaks as you suggest, they are located in woodland and thus smell of the local habitat - trees and the immediate area of woodland.The towel rack heater is either off or on and as we are now moving into autumn, it is prudent to have towel rails on to dry towels as required.Hot and cold "taps" are quite the norm in the UK, providing all with the flexibility to mix the tap's water to the desired temperature.The chalets were built in a natural woodland environment as opposed to a man made/manufactured modern pod offering and thus are impacted by nature on a daily basis.Our kitchen is open 5 days to provide staff with time off and as our food is cooked fresh, prices are a reflection of the staffing costs involved and the quality of fresh produce we use. Our opening hours for both breakfast and dinner are standard to the local vicinity.I trust this explains our position.Kind regards

Water turned off at night = no shower and no tooth brushing. Hotel was old and tired. A major renevation and updating are needed.

Many thanks for your feedback on your recent stay.It is not our normal habit to turn off water at night but as the reception signage indicated we had a plumbing emergency (a burst pipe) that meant we had no other option at that time but to switch off the water. If you had called reception requesting water, at any time, it could have been provided.Kind regards

We stayed in no 5 Chalet it was very clean bed very comfy we had a partial view of the Loch which was nice also we could walk down the Hill to the Beachfront or have a Drink sitting outside the Hotel we also visited Loch Katrine and Loch LubnaigElaine and David from Erskine
