Wonderful stay at this BnB.
Publié le 14 juill. 2018 sur Expedia
Pour : This BnB is quaint and right on the ocean. Spectacular view. Very cozy with great breakfasts.
Emplacement : The scenery in this area is amazing. There are many nearby hiking trails up on top of the cliffs overlooking the ocean. And boat tours.
With the host, we didn't just meet new people but we met new friends. Very friendly and personable. Made us instantly feel welcome and comfortable. Provided us with a cozy little house part way up a cliff directly on the ocean front. Wonderful view and great sunsets. A full home cooked breakfast to start each day, fresh fruit, a variety of baked goods, eggs directly from their own chichens in the back yard pen, bacon, french toast, omelette, juice, jams, coffee, tea. Brad is a great cook. And he helped us find hiking trails, restaurants, pubs, a local brewery and a winery, boat tours, weather reports, local history and interesting sites in the area.

Cozy little hideaway near beautiful view of water
Publié le 25 août 2017 sur Expedia
Pour : The location is peaceful, so close to the water. And there is a great little café at the top of a steep hill, but worth the climb.
Contre : The shower stall, for sure. It's on a slant, inconvenient. Also, I feel like there were too many people there at one time.
Emplacement : Nice by the water. Hikes nearby but not clear directions on how to get there. Good seafood restaurant in remote location but worth the drive.
Very quaint little house by the water with a host who was aiming to please! Tricky to find, though, so we were glad we arrived in daylight, as it was confusing to find. It should be listed in "Crow's Head" ( or whatever it was called), not Twillingate because that was confusing and there were so many B&Bs around! It's at the very end of a twisty road and better directions could be provided. We also got the impression the host, who was pleasant but seemed to have a lot on his mind, has not been doing this for very long and still has a bit of a learning curve. For example, we didn't know if we were to be there for dinner or not, or to notify him if we would or wouldn't. Also, there were 4 couples at breakfast at once, and only 2 people cooking and taking care of specific menus, so it took awhile. Maybe more staff at breakfast?

Small room, overpriced, beautiful location
Publié le 9 août 2017 sur ExpediaWe had a decent stay mainly because of the staff and location but the room and overall facility were cramped (like Hobbit hole cramped), noisy (water pump, rooster crowing, early morning setup for breakfast) and overpriced (nearly twice as much as we paid for any other comparable B&B). The food was ok but nothing special.
