Mammoth Cave Trip
Publié le 16 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayKentucky Hollow was the perfect place for our family. The cabin is exactly as described. The kitchen is well equipped to cook in which we did often. We enjoyed the outdoor space for our two small dogs and the walk to the end of the road was a perfect way to start the day. We took the Green RIver ferry every time we went to the park. This was a great time saver and such a nice drive to the ferry. If you’re hiking like we did, check out the trails close to the cabin. They are much less traveled than the ones closest to the caves. Kentucky Hollow is a bit of a drive from grocery stories and restaurants so plan in advance. We thoroughly enjoyed being away from all the tourist attractions in Cave City. If you’re coming up from the south like we did, make sure and stop by Peace Valley Amish market. Wonderful fresh produce, baked goods, plants and handmade items! We will certainly visit again and will return to Kentucky Hollow.

Mammoth cave adventure

A very relaxing atomsphere. Close to parks & caves. Would reccomend for a peacefull relaxing getaway.

Publié le 25 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis is an adorable cabin in a very remote setting. Well stocked & comfortable. Just need to make note that the other entrance to Mammoth Cave is 40 min away when the ferry is closed (we missed our tour).

Great cabin
Publié le 23 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was great. Perfect size for our family of 4 (2 sons 18+). The hubby and sons loved having the pond right there. Caught fish after fish. Nice fire pit to relax at in the evening. The location was great if using the Ferry. Very nice getaway.

Quiet and comfortable

Really neat to take the ferry across the river to get to Mammoth Cave. Location was remote and perfect. Home was clean and very well appointed! Thanks for a perfect stay!
