The manager was extremely nice. We arrived early and she helped us access storage lockers for pur luggage, gave us beach towels, let us use the bathroom. The room was clean. My only criticism is that there are no tables in the room, no closet, nowhere to hang clothes, no chairs. Just two beds and that's it. Bathroom is very small too. For the price we paid, it would have been nice to have better amenities.

I arrived at El Navegante and no one was there but a phone number . I never saw any check in instructions to get into my room and my phone was dead anyways. A man on the street showed me where i could charge my phone. Then i called the property on how to enter. Then i went next door and a waiter told me to try texting them. They sent a code to unlock a box to get my key. I couldn't get it open and neither could Another man who thought of staying there. He ended up leaving worried he couldn't get his key out after He finally got mine for me then left irritated too. It said check in after 4pm and i arrived about 515 -530 . This experience was horrible as i never saw the instructions on an email that i would have to go through hoops to get lodging. The place was clean and the lady the next day was pleasant and thankfully the neighbors were very nice and helpful. The photo online seems to be of the restaurant not the deck of the navegante. Was way to expensive for the inconviemces.
This hotel is located 2 minutes from the ferry with lots of restaurants and things to do in the area. Onsite parking is very useful too. Communication is very difficult though. There is no one onsite and they can only be reached by text. We had a difficult time having our sheets changed (they were dirty when we arrived), and we never had responses to our questions about lockers before our arrivals. I’d say aside from the lack of service, this is a pretty good choice.
Great self service… we stayed a night in culebra… we got there at 7am and had a locker to leave our stuff so we can go explore the island and snorkel in peace. The view is awesome… at night you may hear some noice as it’s right next to the restaurant “Cocina” but that didn’t bother us with how exhausted we were… and I use white noise to sleep.
Perfect spot for a short trip. Walking distance to every nice spot in town (3-5 mins slow walking): Mamacitas, Dingy Dog, Zacos tacos is just across the street and it’s my favorite place in Culebra. Very clean, comfortable and great service. People in Culebra is just the best and this place is near everything and everyone.
We stayed 2 nights at El Navegante. The staff, Norma, was so pleasant and friendly. The room, Queen bed with ocean view was the perfect choice for views and the hotel was very convenient to restaurants and taxis.
Was Ok, but in the bathroom there was of plenty hair not cleaned after previous guest. It was super disgusting and gross. For 250 $ that we paid? C’mon !! Seriously?
My wife and I stayed here for our first 2 nights in Puerto Rico. Marianne and Matthew were wonderful hosts. Showed us around and gave an experienced rundown of the area. Rooms are simple and the views are incredible. When I clicked on "quiet," I meant in the sense of no human noise pollution. The area, is awash with the sound of birdsong, coqui frogs, bats in the evening, insects and the cascading 4 converging river in the rain forest below. With little to no mosquitos, we kept our balcony door and windows wide open the entire time, letting the breeze and sounds of El Yunque in. It's only 20 minute drive down to the town and a few more for restaurants and beaches. We used the open air kitchen and made pastas both nights and it was lovely. Highly recommend for a nature get away.
