Great Location, Beautiful Scenery
Publié le 1 janv. 2025 sur HomeAwayI rented the cabin for my ex-wife, youngest son and his wife, and myself. My oldest son and his family live in the area. We celebrated Christmas at the cabin. We celebrated my grandson's birthday. The cabin was perfect as our base for the visit. The home owner communicated with us and keep us informed as we prepared to travel their and after we were in the cabin! Would love to be there to enjoy the lake during the summer.

Upon arriving unit was not clearly marked and there was no sidewalk or railing going down a hill to the lower level of a cabin that was a duplex. Also didn’t expect to have children running and thumping upstairs all day and at 6 in the morning.. not sure if they were tenants or visiting like us. Was a great view of the lake. Floors were dirty. There was only 1 coffee cup and drinking glasses were on top shelf out of my reach. Bed was horribly uncomfortable. . Could be a great unit but is lacking in a lot of comfort and safety aspects

We are very sorry you were not satisfied. All the details for the cabin are in your Access Instructions and the Vrbo advertisement for Cabin B clearly states that it is the bottom unit in a duplex cabin. If you would have notified me that you had any special needs, such as difficulty walking, I would have recommended cabin A or C as they both have easy access from the driveway. Cabin A was occupied by another short term guest. I unfortunately cannot control sounds from the guests above unless I am notified during your stay. I’ve not had complaints of noise issues in the past. We have a professional cleaning service clean between each guest and will forward this information to their supervisor. Thank you for your review.

Great place to stay
Publié le 23 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayEverything was very nice, aside from the fact that there's no thermostat in the cabin. The temp is controlled by the cabin above. Not a big problem for me, but if you like it warm, and the people above like it cold (or vice versa), you might be a bit uncomfortable at times. Night one, no one was above me and it was much colder than I would have liked that night. Night 2, someone was up there and kicked on the heater and was very very warm all night....Shouldn't be a problem for most people, but it could for some not having control of the temp. This IS noted by the host already, but I just wanted to give my opinion on it also.

Thank you for your review Mark. We have plans to separate the two units. I prefer to stay in B myself as it stays much cooler in the summer. Closing the vents when it feels too cool or too hot is how I managed the temps. In the cooler months, we have an electric fireplace that warms it right up. I do hope that you will visit again soon.
