Nice location - cabin was filthy and not maintained

1. The floors were absolutely filthy.
2. The bath towels were dirty and full of hair.
3. The trash can was filthy and smelled.
4. The table on the front porch was dirty.
5. Many burnt out lights on the front porch.
6. None of the lamps worked in the house.
7. The kitchen light did not work.
8. Broken toilet seat. Thanks for fixing.
9. The bathroom exhaust fan did not work.
10. Kitchen oven was filthy.
Other issues:
The directions were poor. Took us 30 minutes to find the location.
There was no information on where the key was located.

Publié le 10 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayCabin is very cute very rural on the lake. Beautiful scenery. Unfortunately there was no front porch light, some lamps didn’t work. No trash bags no sponge to clean dishes, no paper towels. Only a little soap left and one toilet paper refill for 5 of us . Also said that there were two futons but unfortunately they’re not futons. They are couches that recline so we had to have one of the kids sleep on a couch..

Thank you for your review. We just replaced our cleaning service company, as we received a few complaints regarding, cleaning, stocking of supplies and lights. These are all the responsibilities of our hired cleaning services. We are happy with their replacement. We supply one roll of paper towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper to get you by until you can pick up more for longer stays. The sponges are located under the sink. In the event that you did not receive these supplies, we are truly sorry and will offer you a discount on your next booking at one of our properties to make it up to you.

Smith Lake cabin

Struggled with the tv, as the internet was very slow. My wife and I slept in one bed, a friend slept in the other bed and my dad slept on the couch.dont know where anyone else would have slept. Overall, a decent place to stay as we were there on a fishing trip. I

Thank you for your review and for booking with us. The advertisement states that there are 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each, and a sofa in the living room. We do not advertise for more sleeping spaces.
Here on Smith Lake, there are very few places that offer ample parking like ours does. We recently added the parking at the top of the hill for fishermen to easily pull in and out of the property. Most people do not mind the very short walk up the hill. There is room for 2 pulling in and out easily at the top of the hill, and room for 3 rigs if you back straight in. 5 rigs total and room for 4 cars. Two at the top near the garage cans and two near the cabins.
Unfortunately, there is no fiber internet around the lake. We have 5G wireless internet with a generally good signal. The carrier must have been having temporary connectivity issues and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Great Little Cabin on the Lake

Excellent Get Away
Publié le 22 août 2024 sur HomeAwaySecond time I’ve visited. A great relaxing time was had by all. Love the dock and being able to rent a pontoon. Tara and the cabin are wonderfully accommodating.
