Great Location
Publié le 18 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayReally good location. Would make a few suggested changes. 1) Need some type of cable service. With Bball and Hockey playoffs, we weren't able to get the games using our home xfinity account as it doesn't work in other zip codes. Had we known there was no cable, we would have looked for another location. 2) We loved the view but the downstairs living area needs some blinds available. It's impossible to see the TV until after the sun goes down. 3) Upstairs needs a couch. There were 6 of us which made sitting upstairs impossible.

Fantastic rental!

Minimal steps to the dock, available boat slip and jet ski ports, plenty of room for a large family and the view…the view is fantastic. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions I had, and that’s worth a lot to us. We would definitely rent this place again!

Amazing location, too many bugs.
Publié le 6 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis was an awesome location. Good size property for our party of 10. Problem was the bugs. They were everywhere. In the house, on the deck. Everywhere. The windows and deck were so dirty we couldn’t even sit out there. There was even poop on the deck and walkway to the boat dock. When paying over $1000/night we expected a better experience. On the positive side, the location was awesome, close to launch ramp for boat and great location to the the kids swim in the water. Owner def needs to invest in pest control. It was gross. Cobwebs, spiderwebs and bugs all over the place inside and out.

Future Guests: We pride ourselves in cleanliness at our home - noted in many of our other reviews.
Pest control is essential at Smith Lake, and we pay for monthly service. At any time, if a guest sees extra spiders or bugs, Cooks is happy to come out and retreat. As stated in our welcome package, we ask all guests to immediately let us know if there are any cleanliness or other issues so that we can get them addressed ASAP. We hate that we were not given the opportunity to do this for you!
You're spot on about the location, as it's the PRIME spot for 4th of July fireworks coming from Smith Lake Park!
